LOUIS KEEPING THE TRADITION ALIVE ====================================== 2 PRESIDENT S POINTS Another month has come and gone since my last column. I can t believe it s June already. Things are really starting to get busy for the club with the car show season in full swing. Several members have been active in the last month at a cruise with the Shriners at the Culvers in St. Peters and the Klas Act Corvette Club show at Merollis Chevrolet. There are several club activities coming up this month that you may want to consider attending. On Sunday, June 14 th is the Solo Event #4 with the SCCA at Gateway International Raceway. Several of our members are heavily involved in auto crossing and this would be a great opportunity to go out and watch them compete. We ll discuss this more at the June 11 th meeting. On June 21 st the club will be caravanning to the Central Missouri Mustangers Car Show in Columbia, Mo. More information will be available at the club meeting on June 11 th. By the time you receive this newsletter two more events have passed that the club attended. The first event was the St. Dominic School parade in Affton and the Lou Fusz Car Cruise and Display in Chesterfield. Both events were well attended by our members. We ended up with 3 new members at the Lou Fusz event and had several other inquiries. We continue to grow our membership and make new friends with every event we participate in. For any member that hasn t had an opportunity to attend any of our previous events, please check the website and try to plan attending one of our upcoming events. We are also in the final stages of planning another winery cruise. Looks like the date will be in September when the weather breaks and isn t so hot. Pam & John Pace are the proud owners of a 2009 Shelby GT500. There are a few pictures of it on the website in the members cars section under pictures. Looks like Pam has something that will outdo John s Bullitt. Guess we ll see how that turns out after John gets back home from his deployment duty. I do have a request from John about a few things his unit could use overseas. I ll fill you in at the meeting on June 11 th and also a mass email to the entire membership. Please keep John and his unit in your thoughts & prayers so that they will be safe. Keep sending articles and pictures to Sharon for the newsletter along with any classified ads. We can never have too much information to pass along to our members. Let s all get involved and help our club grow and moving in the right direction. The club is only as successful as our members make it.till next month!!!! Keeping the Tradition Alive!!! KlasAct Corvette Club Show Merollis Chevrolet MAY 30, 2009 KlasAct Corvette Car Show Drying them off again seemed to be the phrase that summed up start to the day. But the MCSTL was successful again as most of the attending members placed and received trophies at the car show despite only having 2 official Mustang classes.which were 1964 1/2 1974 and 1975 Present. The Mustang Club of St. Louis was invited to attend this car show that was held on May 30 th. The day started out with some off and on rain showers that lasted all morning. Several of us met at the commuter lot, 270 & Gravois and headed up to the dealership located at 367 & Parker Road. Other club members arrived at the dealership a little bit later. We had a total of 10 cars entered in the show. The following members participated: Dan Adams (unfortunately Dan had to leave early) Danny Nelson Frank Somers Sharon/Jim Richardson Linda & Charlie Nahlik Patrick Sanfilippo Pam and Autumn Pace Mike Herbert Bob Morgan Around 12 noon the clouds finally broke and the sun came popping through which dried out the parking lot. They had about 90 cars register for the show along with several trucks and motorcycles. There was plenty of food, beverages and music for everyone who attended.

Page 5 Unbridled KlasAct Car Show Winners Special guest, John B., who hosts the Invitational Only Best of the Best Car Show in October in Brighton, Illinois selected 25 cars from the KlasAct Corvette Show. Those vehicles which were one of the Crème de la Crème at this show were invited to the October Show. Two of our members were fortunate enough to be chosen. MCSTL members Linda Nahlik and her 1966 as well as Danny Nelson and the 2007 Convertible received special invitations. There were only two Mustang classes at this show with two awards in each class. Our club members took 3 out of the 4 trophies that were up for grabs. Congratulations go out to Linda & Charlie Nahlik --1 st place with the 66 Coupe, Sharon & Jim Richardson 2 nd place with their 2001 Roush and Frank Sommers with his 2006 GT Coupe. Linda Nahlik was also a winner of the Best in Show trophy for her 2007 GT/CS. The last award our club brought home was the Club Participation plaque. It was quite an honor and a proud moment for our club. Hats off to all who made this happen. Also, I would like to thank the members of the Klas Act Corvette Club for hosting a great show and making us feel very welcomed
