Looking back on 2014 at RHCC... The Year In Review As 2014 comes to a close, we look back over the year at Rolling Hills Country Club. It was a great year with upgrades to the course and clubhouse, many events and outings, 62 new memberships added to the RHCC family, as well as many rounds of golf for our members. We would like to highlight some of this as we reminisce.

BUNKERS UPGRADED: The troublesome bunker on #9 was rebuilt this past year using the Better Billy Bunker system. This innovative system utilizes a gravel layer to facilitate fast drainage resulting in little to no erosion even with large amounts of rain. While the cost was significant, the improvement has been amazing. David Farris and the maintenance crew also removed old torn liners and replaced them with new Sand Trapper liners on 11 other holes. Some bunkers were reduced in size for better management.. These changes have improved the playability of our course and will continue to for many years to come. NEW WINDOWS INSTALLED: Three new Pella windows were installed in the Golf Shop this fall and what a difference they have made! These energy efficient windows have enhanced the Golf Shop both inside and out. Thanks to members Mike Kaufman, Mike Wurth and Cletus Poat for their hard work installing the windows. COMPUTERIZED SCORING FOR TOURNAMENTS: A special thanks to RHCC Member Mark Moore who was instrumental in bringing the Club into the computerized age of tournament pairings, seeding and scorecards. What a great improvement this was for our Club and will continue to streamline our tournaments each year.

MEMORIAL TREE PLANTING: Phase One of the Memorial Tree Planting was completed this year with 10 trees planted in honor or in remembrance. Phase Two has been sold out and the trees are ready to be planted. This past year Paul was the leading money winner, 2nd in Scoring Average, 2nd in Handicap Index Improvement and 4th in Closest to the Pin. Well done!! Drake is a senior at McCracken County High School and played on the MCHS Mustangs Golf Team. Good luck, Drake.
