Legislation/Budget/Finance Delete Fine No Show at HOD Lee/Saltzstein SI P&P changes moved, seconded and approved Proposed budget submitted: approved with the amendment of the $100 cost for an approved meet Relays are $16 for SI meets 2. Registration/Membership: 1171 registered for 2014 3. Safe Sport: Ralph Nowaski set up a blog:sisafesport.com Request that each club provide at least 2 individuals to be a safe sport point of contact, establish a two deep policy, have a locker room supervision, train others to take their place as they move on. James Pantera has been place on the life time banned list 4. Japan Trip: with CA-NV all start trip to Japan. Motioned to have the LSC pay for ½ the cost per swimmer[$550] Meet will be Feb 14-15, 2014
B. Administrative Chairman s Committees/Coordinators Reports - Mike Saltzstein 1. Records/SWIMs- No Report 2. Officials Referee/Starter Clinic Kevin Lee- The clinic went well and good discussions Clarification of Process Swimmer No Show- The starter will no longer be calling the swimmer s name if they are not there. One call for heat and lane and then they will be a no show 3. Safety - 2 classes in December and they will be posted on the LSC website. New process for registering for classes in advance 4. Equipment No report C. Age Group Chairman s Committees/Coordinators Reports Scott Lawson, Krissy Payton 1. Zone Meet Redmond- Allow the 11/12 to travel with the team. They would have a choice to travel with the team or their parents but once the decision is made cannot change it 2. All Star Meet Galindo meet in Bakersfield, The cost is $100 per swimmer Oregon swimming would like to join in the all star meet which would make this a quad meet. Tabled until next year and decide prior to 2015 USAS convention 3. LSC Meets Freestyle Fest PS/CAST, SR HSA, C WSST, AB RSD/SBA, C FAST, AB CNSA, SBA Distance/Mini Meet Need to have a clear understanding of warm up procedures, Which side to start from? Include in meet sheets warm up starts at the start end of the pool unless otherwise noted Use a standard of 20 swimmers per lane for warm up, more than that it should be split D. Technical Planning Chairman s Committees/Coordinators Reports Dave Kilmer/Gary Scott 1. Program Approved the LC schedule and bids. 3 meets were be going out for rebids. Bid meeting will be at the WAG meet on Dec 22 2. Time Standards 2014 JO standards are out ABC standards are the same 3. Sanctions -,need the 2014 meet sanctions- all out thru January 2014 E. Senior Chairman s Committees/Coordinators Reports - Pat Tope 1. National Travel Form Update Kilmer Dave will send new form to Pat, Judy and Mike and then have posted on the SI website 2. Open Water- USA Swim wanted to have the national championships in Mission Bay June 17- not allowed due to the tourist season in San Diego 3. High School Liaisons - Suggestion that diving be a separate sport 4. Senior Zones and Sectionals- SR Zones in Clovis 2014 5. Championship- SC @ Poway- this should be the 2 nd yr of a 3 yr contract LC Coronado approved for 3 yr contract 3 or 4 days will be discussed at WAG meet F. Technically it goes to the sanctions chair. Turned in 90 days prior to the meet and all the pieces are put together: officials, referees, meet announcements are what is needed.
