Joseph has had unprecedented success at the helm of the Yellow Jackets during the past 11 seasons. Joseph owns a career-record of 213-134, and she is just the second head coach in the Yellow Jacket history to hit 200 career wins. Her 61 percent career winning percentage is the highest in Georgia Tech history. Currently, Joseph s 213 career wins puts her 11 wins away from becoming the all-time winningest coach in program history. Joseph has seven 20-win seasons and a matching seven NCAA tournament appearances, including six-straight from 2007 through 2012. Under Joseph s direction, 17 Yellow Jackets have garnered All-ACC accolades. Two Jackets have been named All-ACC First Team members since Joseph became the head coach in 2003. Six freshmen have been named to the All-ACC Freshman Team, including one a year from 2011 to 2014. Tyaunna Marshall was named an AP honorable mention All-American in both 2013 and 2014. Joseph has coached six Jackets that were selected in the WNBA Draft. Both Alex Montgomery and Sasha Goodlett were chosen in the fi rst round of the WNBA Draft in 2011 and 2012, respectively. In the contest prior to Kennesaw State against Morgan State, Whiteside led the Jackets in scoring for the sixth time in her career with a career-high 26 points. CONSISTENCY IS KEY There has been some reoccurring themes throughout the Yellow Jackets fi rst three victories. One Yellow Jacket has had a double-double in each game, with junior Roddreka Rogers recording two against Loyola and Morgan State and junior Aaliyah Whiteside tallying one against Kennesaw State. In all three wins, Georgia Tech has had double-fi gure margin of victories, with its largest being 35 in a 92-57 win at Loyola Chicago. DOUBLE-DOUBLES FOR ROGERS Junior Roddreka Rogers opened up the 2014-15 season with back-to-back double-doubles, scoring 10 points and pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds at Loyola and tying her career-high 17 points and grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds vs. Morgan State. The double-doubles were the sixth and seventh of her career. When asked about her goals in the beginning of the season, Rogers stated that she wanted to average a double-double as a junior. RAINING THREE S In the opening game at Loyola Chicago, Georgia Tech made 11 3-point shots which ranks third in the Georgia Tech record books for 3-pointers made in a game. The following game, the Jackets made nine against Morgan State. Georgia Tech is tied for the ACC lead in 3-pointers made per game with an average of 8.7. The Yellow Jackets had four players make at least two 3-point shots against Loyola and three players that made at least two from behind the arc against Morgan State. Senior Sydney Wallace is tied for second in the ACC with 2.7 3-pointers made per game Wallaces 150 made 3-pointers ranks sixth in Georgia Tech history while sophomore Kaela Davis 90 made 3-pointers checks in at 10th. BOARD ROOM The Yellow Jackets have continued their dominance in rebounding against Kennesaw State, outrebounding the Owls, 48-30. Tech has a +20.0 rebounding margin this season. Rogers leads the way with a 12.5 rpg average. She ranks third in the ACC and is tied for second in defensive rebounds with 8.0 rebounds per game. APPROACHING MILESTONES Joseph enters her 12th season at the helm of the Yellow Jackets with a career record of 216-134. Joseph is eight wins away from becoming the all-time winningest coach in Georgia Tech history. Former coach Agnus Berenato is currently the alltime winningest coach with a record of 223-209 in 15 seasons. PRESEASON ALL-ACC Sophomore guard Kaela Davis was selected to the Preseason All-ACC Team by both the Blue Ribbon Panel and the ACC head coaches. Davis was a member of the 2014 All-ACC Second Team and the 2014 All-ACC Freshman Team. Davis set the single season scoring record for a freshman in Georgia Tech history with 594 points last season, which ranks third on GT s all-time list for points in a single season. TECH SIGNS TOP-14 RECRUITING CLASS Georgia Tech women s basketball head coach MaChelle Joseph announced that Martine Fortune, Dejoria Howard and Ciani Cryor have all signed National Letters of Intent to join the Yellow Jacket program beginning in the 2015-16 season. The trio gives Joseph and her staff a top-20 recruiting class for the fi fth-straight season. Blue Star Basketball ranks Georgia Tech s recruiting class the #14 recruiting class in the nation. The All Star Girls Report tabbed the class as the 25th best while Prospect s Nation ranked it at #26 in the country. Class AA All-State First Team. As a junior, Cryor averaged 12.5 points per game. Cryor aided Neumann-Goretti High School to a 29-1 overall record and an undefeated conference season at 12-0.
