ABOUT THE LAST ONE: The Mudcats were held without an extra-base hit for the second straight game for just the second time this season yesterday. The last time they were held without an extra-base hit in back-to-back games came over the final two games of the first half on June 20 (L, 4-0) and June 21 (L, 1-0) in Potomac. They have not been held without an extra-base hit in three straight games this season. Webster is 8-7 with the league s 3 rd lowest earned run average (2.91) this season and was named by the Atlanta Braves as the Mudcats pitcher of the month for August yesterday. The side-arm throwing right-hander was 2-1 and posted a 2.31 ERA over five starts last month. He currently leads Minor League Baseball with a 12.86 K/BB ratio (90K/7BB) and leads the Carolina League in innings pitched (123.2) since May 23. TRENDING: Johan Camargo is 6-for-14 with four runs, five walks and one strikeout over his last five games Carlos Franco is batting.438/.571/.750 with two doubles, a home run and six RBI over his last five games... All six runs were allowed in the game changing fourth that featured four doubles and five hits overall. All five were allowed to batters hitting from the left side and were allowed by Webster. 8/27: Allowed just one run over seven innings pitched against Lynchburg in his final home start of the season. He lost a 1-0 lead in the seventh, but the Mudcats later took the lead in the same frame. Carolina later lost the game 8-2 after allowing seven runs in the ninth. Webster finished the start with seven strikeouts and eight hits allowed.
