Jace Peterson was designated for assignment and Shane Robinson was signed to a Major League contract before being selected from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Yankees acquired infielder L.J. Mazzilli was batting.333 with a run batted in for the Las Vegas 51 s over four games prior to the trade.
