MINUTES. Volume 2 Issue 13 February 10 Page 3 AGC BOARD OF DIRECTOR S MEETING MINUTES 1/12/2010 Meeting called to order at 7PM by President Terry Humbargar. Present: J. Benskin, M.Benskin, Caldwell, Bonner, Harper, Humbargar and Still Excused: Boyd, Braton I. CALL TO ORDER Pledge of Allegiance II MINUTES Presented are corrections to the Minutes from BOD Meeting 12/08/2009: 01.12.10.a Motion to accept the minutes from the 12/08/2009 BOD meeting as stated. Motion seconded and passed III PRESIDENT REPORT The President thanks Emmanuel Boyd and all members that helped with the Christmas Pot Luck dinner. Howard Braton is working with the Sable Altura Fire Department on stream lining emergency procedures in order to increase response time to the club. IV MEMBERS FORUM Doug Ruegg asked Board of Directors for money the yearly CMP dues. 01.12.10.b Motion for $30 for yearly CMP dues. Motion seconded and passed. Pete Benoit asked questions concerning the progress of the Relocation committee. The President s response: The Relocation committee will present their results at next month meeting. Refugio Silva, asked when the gate code will change. The new code will be effective February 15. Refugio, also asked about the club putting sand bags under the canopies in the berms. Sand bags have been left out on the range before and they have all disappeared. Matthew Hess (PSAC) asked if we had a snow removal service to clear out the berms and about the repair of berms that have erosion causing water holes to form from melting snow. Joe Benskin replied, we have no snow removal service for removing snow from the berms. Our tractor could be used to remove the snow if we have qualified operators. The tractor can be used to repair the erosion in the berms when the weather warms up. V FINANCIAL REPORT Treasurer s report, Michael Miller: Revenue for November 2009 was $14,477.22 expenses were $10,557.61 with a net of $3,919.61 01.12.10.c Motion to accept the treasurer s report as stated. Motion seconded and passed. Administrative Assistant s Report: Wait list was updated to 192. 25 problem renewals (missing NRA number, no check etc.) 750 memberships already processed. Renewal forms must be postmarked by January 31st, renewals received after February 1st will be put on the wait list.

MINUTES CONT.. Volume 2 Issue 13 February 10 Page 4 VI OLD BUSINESS President, Terry Humbargar: Nothing to add 1st Vice President Emanuel Boyd: Excused 2nd Vice President, Joe Benskin: Two of the sporting clays traps have sold. We are going to run the ad again in the January newsletter. Secretary Dave Bonner: Nothing to add VII NEW BUSINESS President, Terry Humbargar: Nothing to add 1st Vice President Emanuel Boyd: Excused 2nd Vice President, Joe Benskin: The City of Aurora has started surveying along Gun Club Road and AGC property for 30 inch pipeline. The City has no start date for the pipeline at this time. The 200 yard range looks to be the only range impacted by the pipe line installation. The tractor now has a block heater and six foot back blade installed. On snow removal, if members are interested in helping maintain the ranges by removing the snow before it becomes packed down and icy, please call to arrange a time to meet. Joe will come to the club to assist and annotate the time worked with snow removal. Members are able to reduce the next year s membership dues by $8.00 for every hour worked. Secretary Dave Bonner: Mark Harper and I visited the Aurora Gun Club s CPA to better understand the procedures and services provided to the club. VIII ADJOURNMENT MOTION TO ADJOURN. SECONDED. MOTION PASSES. PRESIDENT S MESSAGE So good to see all of the members using the club now that the weather has gotten a bit more tolerable! We all need to remember that the 2nd vice president is a voluntary position as are all your board members and even if the pay is doubled it is still ZERO! My point here is he may not be able to get right down and clear the snow away the minute it stops snowing. He also likes to come down and enjoy his shooting time when the weather allows. Please give him a break and don't jump his case about clearing the snow after everyone has driven or walked on it and turned it to ice! Thanks for understanding. As we are winding down the membership drive things are filling up at a projected rated of approximately 90% plus. We will go to the waiting list to fill the remaining openings. If you have family or friends on the waiting list it is updated and posted in the clubhouse every month after the BOD meeting. The following is a quote from Clint Smith, director of Thunder Ranch. "Make your attacker advance thru a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but the guy's going to have to beat me to death with it because it is going to be EMPTY!!" Enjoy safe and successful shooting. Terry Humbargar President
