Junior High / Senior High Track and Field Intramural Sports Program At Bucktail Junior / Senior School Robert Varholak, Business Education Teacher
Dear Students and Parents, It is with great excitement that I announce this years 2015 Junior High (7 th through 12 th grade) Intramural Track and Field. This seven-week program will start soon, so we are trying to get students signed up and ready to go as quickly as possible. This is just a sign up and informational packet that will give you an idea of what the program will look like, schedule, and try to answer any questions you might have. This year s Track and Field program will offer a hand full of typical track and field events that includes running (including hurdles), jumping, and throwing events. However, being that this is the first year these may be subject to change. As a former track and field athlete, I feel that this is not only very exciting, but also very beneficial. The Junior High Intramural Track and Field Program not only offer students the opportunity to participate as individuals and as a part of a team, but also to learn new skills. In addition, those students who participate in other sports can continue to or get in shape and learn better running and sprinting techniques that will benefit them in many sports besides just track and field. To sign-up please fill out the attached form (do not forget the parent signature). Please then drop the completed form off in my room, room C17 by Friday, March 21, 2015. At that time, you will receive the form for your required physical to bring to the first day of practice (April 1, 2015). Thank you for taking the time to read about the track and field opportunity for junior high students here at Bucktail, and I hope to see you all at the first practice. Please contact me with any questions. Thank you, Mr. Robert Varholak Telephone number 570-923-1166 ext. 3617 Email rvarholak@kcsd.k12.pa.us
