Firstly, thank you to all our stewards who have run and are running rallies for the Centre this year. Of course our rallies wouldn t be a success without the support of our members so thank you for your continued support and commitment, it has been fantastic and certainly makes my job easier. The Rally Book plans for 2018 are progressing well but I would be grateful if you could submit your proforma s for 2018 as I am meeting with printers and it would be great if I could provide an accurate number of pages that we will require. I appreciate that some rallies have not yet run and negotiations with sites may not have been started but if you are intending to run again next year an early indication to me would be extremely helpful. If you need to discuss any aspects of this please feel free to give me a call. Enjoy the rest of the rally season and hopefully I will see you on the rally field soon.
The Youth committee has had a successful year with their fundraising events. The Family Fun rally run by the Youth Committee was enjoyed by everyone, with many taking part in the cycling challenge, duck race and trying to successfully cook a small tin of beans or spaghetti during a survival cooking activity. The sales of handmade sweet cones, burgers, wine glass charms, earrings and keyrings and the very successful raffle competitions have all contributed towards the fundraising total for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Derriford hospital. Zoe and the rest of the Youth committee would like to Thank you for all your continued support over the past year. If you have a child 10yrs or over that would be interested in joining the committee, please do not hesitate to contact any of the current youth committee or the rally secretary who will be able to answer your questions and put you in touch with the relevant person. Congratulations to Lin Heal as the winner and only entry of our Christmas 2016 Competition.

Can all Stewards Old and New, please submit the Rally Proforma for 2018 as soon as possible to enable us to get the new rally book in progress for despatch in December. If you currently hold a rally kit, it would be grateful if you could either return it to be replenished with missing stock, or advise us what parts are missing to get them returned to you. If Plaques are required for the rally, please order them a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the start of the Rally, there is a minimum order of 17 and if you require Stewards/Assistant Stewards plaques the minimum order of 17 must be adhered to as we are unable to just order the Stewards/Assistant Stewards plaques. The centre has Coleman Shelters available for use on the rallies however, it is advisable that the maximum occupancy per shelter shouldn t exceed 25, therefore if you have more than 25 vans attending the rally the situation should be discussed with the Field Equipment Officer regarding the availability of the 6m x 6m Marquee that the centre has. The only charges needed for the Marquee are to cover the transportation costs incurred.
