Knockavilla N.S over came Ballinadee in the semi-finals, before meeting Gael-Scoil Carrigaline in the final. Knockavilla put in a polished display from the throw-in and ran out comfortable winners. Well done to all involved in both teams. Great to see the hard work and dedication paying off girls. Keep up the good work. Ladies football under 14s Valleys ladies footballs under 14s got their year off to a winning start this Sunday in Bishopstown. A great number of girls and great support turned up for a late afternoon game and Valleys came out winners after an entertaining encounter. The game was even in the first half and Bishopstown had the slight edge on the scoreboard. There was 25 players there for valleys and it was the strength of the squad, with 10 fresh girls coming on at half time, allowed valleys to take advantage of tiring Bishopstown legs. The fresh players and penetrating forward play worked well for the team and valleys were able to clock up scores on the board while the defence were also rock solid.
