Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons for your donations! And the Winner Is..! This year s statewide Rebecca Caudill winner has been announced! A Night Divided, by Jennifer A. Nielsen took top honors. Students at Grissom chose Orbiting Jupiter, by Gary D. Grissom Gives Back Tickets for the Grissom Gives Back fundraising volleyball games are available now for $3 in the Media Center. The games will be played on Friday, March 16 th at 5:30 pm here at Grissom. Tickets are also available during lunches. Don t miss out! All proceeds go to the Kirby Educational Foundation.

SWIC All-Conference Team Congratulations to Nathan LaPlant, Elijah Laws and Sean Monahan! They were chosen for the 2018 SWIC All-Conference Basketball team!!
8 th Grade Boys Basketball Congratulations to the Patriots on winning the SWIC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP!! The boys defeated Palos South 45-43 to win the tournament. Elijah Laws was selected for the All-Conference team and was voted tournament MVP. Grissom is so proud of the team s hard work this year!
Crayola ColorCycle Students and teachers will soon be collecting used markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year! Remember, don t throw out that used marker ColorCycle it! Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we ve saved 7,347 bottles from landfills! The image part w the file.
