And remember, you can pre-register and pay online at www.ropersandriders.org Time to RSVP for May 15th Gymkhana Clinic Members should let Mary Burton know as soon as possible if they are planning on attending the gymkhana clinic to be led by Sheana Rombauer on May 15th. We need a minimum of at least several riders in order for it to be worthwhile for Sheana to trailer horses from Middeltown to hold the event. Pope Valley Ropers and Riders General Meeting and Minutes April 12, 2013 Meeting was called to order at 7 pm. Minutes of March Meeting: Voted and approved by Dale Roth, seconded by Barry Kessey. Approved as written. Member roll call: 26 members present Guest: Reynaldo Maldonado, Jan and Peter Aigan President s report: Sherrilyn is looking for some short, equestrian-related video programs suitable for showing at meetings; Martha McGettigan recommended a vaquero video. Secretary Report: No report. Treasurer's report: $7394.00 in checking account. $1,941.00 in savings account. Gymkhana: New banners have been completed and look wonderful. Vet Clinic: Spraying and harrowing tomorrow at 9 am. Sally Kimsey presented a check for $1,400.00 to the club for the vet clinic she conducted. Old Business: Shirt cost is $44.00 per shirt. This includes the embroidery. New storage box door to be taken care of by Larry and Phil. Arena base sand and leveling - Chris Hill sprayed to hold the weeds down and Larry will get a leveler to level the arena and spread sand. New business: Mother's Day Ride: Hendrick in charge: food with Mexican flavor.!! Committees:! PAGE 5

Chris Thompson has a concern about the amount of cash we are keeping on hand.!!!! Hendrick suggested the possibility of an upgrade on the toilet facilities.!!!! Chris Thompson expressed how delighted he was for living in such a wonderful community.!!! Martha McGettigan made the wedding dress for Steve Mould's wife. Brags: Hendrick bragged about stud activity on his property. Larry bragged about being in The Wine Enthusiast magazine.! Next Meeting: May 10, 2013 at the Arena. CSHA State Trails Chair invites you to: Camp & Ride at Point Reyes National Seashore A fund raiser for California State Horseman s Association Incorporated: Trails Advocacy June 29 th and 30 th, 2013 Join like-minded trail riding equestrians for a weekend offering 150 miles of beautiful trails in west Marin County: Point Reyes National Seashore. Ride out directly from your campsite, or trailer to other trail heads. Enjoy camaraderie of fellow trail advocates around a warm campfire in the evening over a prepared dinner. Your registration covers Saturday night dinner, Sunday continental breakfast and a trail lunch for Sunday.
