Monday, October 22, 2018 Day 1 This weekend, the Junior Girls Basketball team traveled to Thunder Bay for the Tigers Classic Tournament. The team played some of their best games of the season. They finished the tournament as consolation champs after defeating Fort Frances. The team should be proud of their intensity, teamwork, and hustle during each game. Players of the game were Paige Andrews, Brianna Leutschaft and Shayna Hensrud. Come see the team play their last home game tomorrow at noon! If you are interested in learning about the Ne-Chee Friendship Centre s Youth Life Promotion Program Come & meet Brittany Powassin today in the Four Directions room between 11:30 & 12:30. Come and join us for a healthy snack & maybe win a promotion prize. Please see Ms. Sewell or Ahnika for more information. Any high school students interested in wrestling for Beaver Brae this upcoming season, there will be a brief meeting at the start of lunch on Wednesday October 24th in the Four Directions room. If you have any questions, please speak with Mr. Lynch. There will be a Jack Chapter meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 11:30 12:30, in Student Services. Please bring your lunch. Please note that lunchtime karaoke will be held on Thursday this week, in the music room as always. So, bring your lunch and arrive early to secure a spot on the list. Skills Ontario will be presenting in the library Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:30a.m. If you are interested in an apprenticeship pathway, speak to your teacher about attending. Co-op students are reminded of their in-session on Wednesday, October 24th in Room 255. Beaver Brae is hosting its third annual Bingo for Balls fundraising event! Come out this Thursday October 25th, from 7:00-8:00pm, to support Bronco Athletics. Play some bingo, have some snacks, and win some fabulous prizes (total value over $1300). Please see Ms. Quistberg or Mr. McDonald for more information. The Honours Breakfast will take place this Thursday, October 25. If you missed the honours meeting, please see Ms. England in the library during lunch or Blocks A or B to pick up your invitation. Co-op students are reminded of their in-session today in Room 255. We have 2 jackets in the office if you have lost yours please claim it in the office.
