Michael Errico Russ Shea Timothy Gargana Ken Hasenei (Major) Michael Spaulding (Chief) Minutes The minutes of the June 22, 2017 Meeting were approved unanimously. Announcements Any firearms approved at this meeting will be published in the Maryland Register on September 15, 2017 and, barring no objections, will be included on the Maryland State Police website as handguns, model and caliber additions legal in the State of Maryland on October 15, 2017. Major Ken Hasenei announced that he will be stepping down as the Handgun Roster Board Chair Designee, as he has been given additional assignments. Captain Scott Keyser was introduced to the Board as the new Chair Designee and it was announced that he will be taking over the Chair responsibilities starting at the next meeting.

Ballistic Accuracy The firearm was NOT tested due to safety issues. The Toolmarks Expert explained that when dummy rounds were chambered, the round would not extract. Caliber 9mm Luger 7 Reliability Safety Button A discussion ensued with the Board Members as to the chambering of the firearm. Board Member Errico noted that he did not want to approve a firearm that not been tested. The Board felt that there was not evidence to support a denial at this juncture; however, unanimously voted to Table the German Sports Gun (GSG) (A.T.I.) MP 40 P in order to address the chambering issue. The petitioner can re-submit the German Sports Gun (GSG) A.T.I.) MP 40 P at a future date for consideration.
