Information for Competitors Thank you for entering the Buy Association 3 rd Harbour Regatta. We are very excited that you are participating in this to support the great initiative of rowing in the Harbour! Please find some information about the race day to help make your day as enjoyable as possible. 1. Location Kellett Island is located in Causeway Bay. It is a 10- to 15-minute walk from Causeway Bay MTR. Directions can be found here: https://www.rhkyc.org.hk/upload/walking-to-the-clubfrom-causeway-bay-mtr.pdf You can ask for Causeway Bay Yacht Club ( 銅鑼灣遊艇會 ) if you are taking a taxi. Unfortunately there is no parking available to non-members in the club. There is very limited (~5 spaces) public parking at the end of Hung Hing Road (https://goo.gl/maps/dblvx5tp7yn2 ). However we strongly recommend you take public transport. 2. Winners Prize Medals and trophy tumblers will be presented to the winners of each category. 3. Registration Registration: Please register at the roof top (1) at least 1 hour before your event. All members of your crew must be present and must sign a safety waiver. Crew changes and cancellations: changes will be accepted up to 1 hour before the event. If you are unable to compete on the day and will not be able to cancel your race in person, please email Ellen Leung (Ellen.leung@rhkyc.org.hk) before 8.30am on the race day. Warm up area: Check-in at warm up area ( Hardstand (2) ) 20 minutes before race time. There will be rowing machines available for the warm up. ID Card Checking: all athletes to make sure to have HK ID cards ( or any personal identity document with photos) for boating checks. 4. Food and Drink Snacks and drinks will be served throughout the day on the roof top. Lunch will be available at the roof top from 11am-4pm. All payments can be made by Octopus. NO CASH is accepted and there are no top-up facilities at the Club, so please bring your Octopus card fully charged. The closest top-up facility is at Circle K near World Trade Centre. Outside food and drink are not allowed on Club premises. There will be water dispensers available at the Lawn and Warm up area. Please bring your own bottle. 5. Safety Please remember to bring suitable footwear for rowing in coastal boats. The pontoon and slipway may be slippery, so we recommend you bring closed-toe shoes with good grip (NOT flip flops). If you feel unwell, are injured or need to report damage to any equipment, please go to Registration (on land) or speak to any of the umpires on the race course. Please make sure at least one crew member attends the Competitor Briefing at 0800hrs.
