Read this text and then discuss it in your group. England are currently playing in the World Cup in South Africa. In the team are a number of superstar footballers. Players such as Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and John Terry can earn over 100,000 a week. It is Fabio Capello s job to pick the best team and make sure that the right decisions are made. Fabio Capello gets paid over 5 million pounds a year to manage the England team. It is one of the highest paid football jobs in the world. It can be hard work though and managers are put through a lot of stress. England haven t started the World Cup that well. Robert Green the England goal keeper fumbled the ball into the net in the first game against the USA. The result was a 1-1 draw. Despite England s draw there are still more group matches for the side to play. If England do well in these games they can still go through to the knock out stages.
