Sun Key Fun Sun Keey Viillllagee Homeeowneerrss'' Assssocciiattiion HOME It's starting to get really quite here in Sun Key Village. Most of our Northern Residents have left. For those of us full time residents, it will be a fun summer anyway!! Some activities are planned, yet many are "spur of the moment" activities. We are having a 4th of July Party on Monday, July 4th. It will be a cookout similar to what we had for Memorial Day. More details for this event will be available soon. Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th. We had an old fashioned Cookout, beginning with a Social Hour at 2:00 PM, then Hamburgers with all the fixings at 3:00 PM. There was a huge turnout and all the food brought in by everyone was delicious. Hamburgers and hotdogs were grilled to perfection by Barry Ephraim! Gerri Lindsay and her Pot Luck committee did a wonderful job as usual. WEDNESDAY COFFEE MEETINGS from the beginning of June through the month of August will officially be held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. However, if any member of the Homeowner's Association would like to have a social time every Wednesday, they may do so. There will not be a formal meeting. Those who wish to go in every week, must be certain to leave the Clubhouse clean and tidy. Be sure all lights and fans are shut off and the doors are locked when leaving. 6/6/2016 Page 1

Sun Key Annuall Gollf Outiing November16-18 2016 Get ready! Our annual golf outing has been booked at the Plantation on Crystal River. The web site is plantationoncrystalriver.com. This resort is all self- contained including a golf course. One look at their web site will convince you to attend. Even if you do not golf, the amenities of the resort and surrounding area will impress you from swimming with the manatees to kayaking to the spa. As always, this outing is available to all residents and friends of Sun Key Village. The activities will include a round of golf on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 with Tee-off times starting at 12:00 pm. This will provide plenty of time for a social before dinner. We have arranged for a meeting room for a group social and pizza with that famous Bar Poker to follow. After a full breakfast buffet in the dining room, golfers will head out for a 9:30 tee-off for a scramble match. There is a restaurant and bar at the golf clubhouse for a refreshing drink and lunch after the round. The evening is free for activities or dinner at the resort or local eating establishments. Checkout is on Friday morning but not before another full breakfast buffet in the dining room. Additional nights or golf can be arranged at a discounted rate. This year we were able to negotiate an inclusive package for two night's accommodation and golf including range balls and two breakfast buffets. A separate price was negotiated for non-golfers. The prices are per person with all taxes and meal gratuities included. Golfers ---- $ 196.57 Non-golfers --- $133.31. These costs are based on standard double rooms. Villas or upgraded rooms are available at an additional charge. Reservations are to be made directly with the resort by calling 800 632-6262 and refer to booking name Sun Key Golf Group. Cut-off date for these prices are October 17, 2016. These prices are comparable to last year but a better resort, facilities, breakfast and golf course as well as no driving! If you have any questions, please e-mail me at joehub1948@hotmail.com or call 1 905 435-4699. Looking forward to a great time! Joe Hubbard 6/6/2016 Page 2

During this Season, 2015-16, the following new activities became quite popular: Non-Competitive Shuffleboard, every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Evening Water Aerobics, men and women, beginning at 6:30 PM every Wednesday Evening. Sunset Viewing Group, Skyway Rest Area overlooking the Bay. Dates to be determined. Movie Night. This activity is a bi-monthly activity during the Season. After the Advisory Committee had their Planning Meeting for the upcoming 2016-17 Season recently, and it looks like next Season will be another great one with a few more new activities. If there are any other activities anyone would like to do, please list your suggestion on the listing located on the Bulletin Board by the Library. All suggestions will be taken into consideration. A Hearty To Our Newest Residents Peggy Glass of Ohio Jim and Marcia Michalski of Ohio Cheri Lyons of Massachusetts Ken and Sandra Dorsey of Ohio Jim and Colleen Marigliano of New York And... Welcome BACK: Tom and Paulette Carnes As we all know, June 1st through to November 30th is Hurricane Season! We have been pretty lucky these past few years with no threat of a storm to hit us, but if there is, we are able to take shelter in our Clubhouse until the storm is over. Our Clubhouse can withstand a Category 2 Hurricane, so if and when there is a threat for a storm higher than a Category 2, all residents will need to go to a designated shelter in our area outside the Park. Help is available for any resident who needs assistance to either our Clubhouse or to an outside shelter. For further information, please contact Ron LeBlanc. 6/6/2016 Page 3
