Biography Kim Vaughn is funny, full of life as well as being one of the most glamorous comediennes on the circuit. Ms Vaughn has a gift of making people laugh. Since an early age she s demanded the center of attention for herself. Being beautiful yet real has marked her successful on a national level. Kim is an actress, comedienne, speaker and host of national events, her candor and self-motivation inspires everyone that she comes in contact with. She has the IT factor a unique and engaging style that has grounded her solid foundation. She s definitely on the rise to the top! Her reliance is unmistakable and will be the driving force to becoming a household name. Having a former career in the nursing field and being a single mother of three, she s on the quest to having it all. The road to stardom has been anything but smooth. Keeping the faith helps her to endure. It all started in 1994when she participated in an open mic in Olympia Washington. It was at that point she knew that entertainment was what she wanted. She had tasted the thrill of making people laugh. In 2000 she won Tacoma s Talent quest, she made her home to Louisville Kentucky and entered comedian Spike Davis Can U Roc The Mic contest and again placed as a finalist. She soon started working the Comedy Caravan s club circuit. Ms. Vaughn has progressed into the professional arenas with some of the best in the industry. The Legendary Dolomite (Rudy Ray Moore) BET, Comedy Central, and HBO comedians as well as opening for national touring musical acts. Kim has showcased in major cities including Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. She has performed in independent films, The Improv and N.B.C. In 2005 Kim hosted the Summer Concert in the Parks series for BET and Coca Cola. In 2006 she was involved with Nickelodeon and the America s Funniest Mom Competition. Not only is she a comedienne but a seasoned actress on stage currently starring in the nationally touring hit Gospel play In Love with Tyrone. She gives back to the community by speaking to teens across the nation about peer pressure and making the right choices to the teen hardships that they encounter daily in their lives.
