Old Business a. BBLB update a. The BBLB is currently considered a sub-committee of BAHA. Recommendation is to create a 501c3 organization for the BBLB to operate under operating separate from BAHA. b. Motion made by Sam Blum to create four separate checking accounts: BAHA, Girls Warrior Hockey, Boys Warrior Hockey, and BBLB accounts with signers being Jim Brau and Mike Patrick. Jr Gold a. 8 Players committed so far looking to have 10 committed by Friday. V. New Business a. Ice Contract i. Ongoing conversation with BASF contract. ii. BAHA is requesting a joint meeting between the BAHA and BASF boards. b. Charitable Gambling Opportunity i. The owner of The Woods reached out. BAHA does not currently have a charitable gambling license. We are looking into this option as a revenue generator for the association. c. On-ice Volunteers i. Liability issue with volunteers entering the ice without helmets. BAHA will request the rink attendants or the refs reset nets as needed. d. December Meeting i. The December meeting has been reschedule for January 2, 2019 and will be held off-site. The pre-meeting has been cancelled. e. Refs i. BAHA recommends that the Ref Coordinator move to a software system called Arbitrator to more efficiently collect availability of refs and to schedule them. Brainerd Amateur Hockey Association 7 multiplayer families and 7 single player families have completed their required volunteer hours for the 2018-2019 hockey season. These numbers do not include any coaches/managers/board members or committee members. Email has been sent to Annette to request list of coaches and managers. Emails to board members requesting committee members will be sent and hours will be credited to committee members and board members. Still waiting on information regarding volunteers for the Ice Fishing Extravaganza. Safe sport/ discipline/ grievance committee Report Submitted by Darren Goltz We met on Tues the 13th of November to discuss a 12u s family s complaints and request for release. We went through the email s that the 12u parents sent to Jim Brau, Jim Ernster, and Eric Jendro as well as various other people. We discussed the content of the emails. We decided to meet with the family to discuss some of the statements made in the emails as well as discuss a request for release Meeting on Thursday the 15th of November. We met with the 12u s family. We discussed many of the inaccurate statements in his email as well as answered both parents questions. We also let them know it was unlikely that the District or Northern lakes would approve a release. At the end they decided that their daughter would be best served by staying in BAHA. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE UPDATE Submitted by Nicole Wheeler November 26, 2018 Last Meeting: Oct 29 Next Meeting: TBD No new news. UPCOMING Events: Family Fun Nights: November 27 and Dec 4 Food Drive: Nov 27- Dec 4 Frugal Farmhouse Sign Making Dec 17 Fundraising Committee Update Submitted by Mike Patrick Fundraising Team wrapped up the pizza sale and distributed Pizza's on Monday 11/19. This year BAHA sold 5,396 pizzas, which is an all time record for the group. Top Sellers were Ryan
Heinlen at 133, Emma/Hannah Neuwirth 109 and Cade/Jordy/Jace Potvin at 90. We had 17 families earn BAHA clothing coupons by selling at least 25 additional pizzas. I have included a summary page comparing the last four years of sales. Raffle tickets were handed out on Monday 11/19. We still have some families that still need to pick up their packets. We will collect tickets on 1/28/19 and 1/29/19 with the drawing on 2/13/19. Treasurer Update Submitted by Mike Patrick Attached are the YTD October financials. There are some line items that are off from their budget because of timing, but overall we are trending favorable to budget. Our cash position right now is $200,906.18 Hockey Committee Update Submitted by Ryan Glas Due to scheduling challenges for the 12UB2 team, it was unanimously voted on by the hockey committee to go 2 equal 12UB teams. The vote was collected via email. Hockey Director Report Submitted by Ryan Glas Helped facilitate the Girls picture night. Helped facilitate the Junior Gold Parent/Player Meeting. Helped with the overall setup, preparation, Little Chippers 8U and takedown for the Women s Hockey Hall of Fame Game. I have continued to be on ice with teams over the past month. I have also helped kick off the Goalie Academy practices on Monday s. November 2018 Association Director s Report Submitted by Jim Brau Girls Co-Op with Little Falls Youth Hockey 1. After several meetings and lengthy discussions, the Brainerd and Little Falls hockey committees made the decision to change the 12UB teams from B1 & B2 to 2 evenly divided B teams. 2. High School Girls Coach Ernster at tryouts made sure the evaluators had both the tiered team and the even team scenarios completed in the event this would happen. Home Tournaments

Junior Gold meeting was held Nov. 19 th 2. Making calls and emails trying to get commitments from players 3. Group set a deadline of Nov. 30 th 4. Price will be $350 with selling 10 raffle tickets and $550 without any fundraising requirements 5. No Volunteer hours will be required of the junior gold group 6. They ll play 20-25 games 7. Jed Rusk and Reno Fussy have agreed to coach Mini-Mite/Mite/8U 1. Working on finalizing the home jamboree for Mites & 8U Online Clothing Store 1. Store will remain open for regular season. 2. Need to make sure we are promoting the store. Summer Shot Club
1. Working with Digital Ink for new signage and GLS on prizes for players that reached the required number of pucks shots. BAHA Picture Days 1. Pictures were held November 12, 13, 14 2. Heard numerous positive comments and feedback regarding this year s set-up Referees 1. Ongoing discussions with referee coordinator to find ways to increase ref numbers. 2. Reaching out to past refs for more feedback and to try and recruit veteran refs. US Hockey Hall of Fame Game 1. November 20 between BSU & SCSU Women s hockey teams. 2. Great event that raised $3,500 for the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen 3. Organizers were very appreciative of all that we did for the event.
