1 Safety Instructions 1.1 Designated Use The Modular Analytical Mounting Plate System is a sampling system for measuring ph, ORP, conductivity, cationic conductivity or dissolved oxygen in water and steam circuits of power plants in NON-EX area. Depending on the used Sample Preparation Panel up to three panels can be easily connected to a full analytical system. See chapter 2.2 and 2.3 for further details. The mounting panels shall be wall mounted in dry rooms protected from frosty ambient conditions. They can also be installed in monitoring containers. Main area of application: Quality measurements in water and steam circuits of power plants, heating plants and incineration plants. Features and benefits: compact, vertical arrangement and easy connection of plates reliable operation as special sensor properties are taken into account in the layout. choice of different sample preparation panels for different demands max. pressure at sample inlet: up to 245 bar depending on the sample panel max. temperature at sample inlet: up to 550 C depending on the sample panel optional thermal shut off valve in sample line after cooler to protect operating personal and analyzers optional flow meter with switching contact or flow indicator for cooling water circuit adjustable flow rate for every measurement parameter optional flow meter with switching contact at every sample line integration of Third Party components in the system on request 1.2 Installation, Commissioning and Operation Please note the following items: Installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the measuring system must only be carried out by trained technical personnel. The technical personnel must be authorized for the specified activities by the system operator. Electrical connection must only be carried out by a certified electrician. Technical personnel must have read and understood these Operating Instructions and must adhere to them. Before commissioning the entire measuring point, check all the connections for correctness. Ensure that electrical cables and hose connections are not damaged. Before commissioning check all fittings and retighten them if necessary to avoid leakages. Do not operate damaged products and secure them against unintentional commissioning. Mark the damaged product as being defective. Endress+Hauser 4

Measuring point faults may only be rectified by authorized and specially trained personnel. If faults can not be rectified, the products must be taken out of service and secured against unintentional commissioning. Repairs are not described in these Operating Instructions and may only be carried out at the manufacturer or by the service organisation. 1.3 Operational Safety The Analytical Panel has been designed and tested according to the state of the art and left the factory in perfect functioning order. Relevant regulations and European standards have been met. As the user, you are responsible for complying with the following safety conditions: EMC Installation instructions Local prevailing standards and regulations. The instruments mounted on the panels have been tested for electromagnetic compatibility in industrial use according to applicable European standards. Protection against interference as specified above is valid only for an instrument connected according to the instructions in these Standard Operating Instructions. 1.4 Return If a mounting plate has to be repaired, please return it cleaned to the sales center responsible. 2 Overview of Available Panels 2.1 General Information Tubing: Stainless Steel tubing (316 or 316L): 25 mm or ½ inch for cooling water lines, 12 mm or ¼ inch sample in- and outlet lines, 6 mm sample lines to flow vessels, Swagelok fittings (316) and clamping ring connections Mounting plates: Stainless Steel (304) or partially powder coated aluminum Media: Boiler feed water, condensate, heating water, steam etc. Dimensions: Sample preparation plate Sentry SL100/200: H x W x D: 1000 x 305mm Sample preparation plate Thiedig PE02/PE03: H x W x D: 1000 x 450mm Analysis plates: H x W x D: 1000 x 300mm Sample preparation plate Woesthoff KEP02/KEP05: H x W x D: 1000 x 500mm Analysis plates: H x W x D: 1000 x 400mm Features: Sensor and transmitter selectable for best performance must be ordered separately with a suitable cable Depending on the type of Sample Preparation Panel up to three panels can easily be connected. Flow meters or flow guards with switching contact can be ordered as an option. This allows to adjust an appropriate flow on each panel.! Note! All standard components like sensors, assemblies (if mentioned), cables, transmitters etc. are not included in the scope of delivery of the mounting plate. They have to be ordered separately! 2.2 Sample Preparation Panels SL-100-L/H C-A070813-71/72 SL-200-L/H C-A110121-83/84! Note! The panel containing the cooler and the pressure reducing device must be used always as the first panel in a row. These panels are intended to be used for different pressure and temperature sample conditions, primary for water or condensate. Depending on the type, one (with SL100) respectively up to three (with SL200) analytical panels can be attached. Inform the supplier about damage to the packaging. Keep the damaged packaging until the matter has been settled. Make sure the contents are undamaged! Check that the scope of delivery is complete and agrees with your order and the shipping documents. The packaging material used to store or to transport the product must provide shock protection and humidity protection. The original packaging offers the best protection. If you have any questions, please contact your supplier or your sales centre responsible. 5.2 Installation Requirements " Attention! The mounting panels shall be wall mounted in dry rooms (Non-Ex-areas) protected from frosty ambient conditions. They can also be installed in monitoring containers or on free standing racks. 6 Connections! Note! For installation, commissioning and operation of the SL100/200-L/H panels, the PE02A/PE03A panels, the KEP02/KEP05 panels and the panels with third party products, see the separate documentation which comes with these panels and can be found in the TSP modification database. 6.1 Electrical Connection Please read the operating instructions of the mounted transmitter for connection the power supply and the sensors.! Note! To wire the switching contacts of the optional flow meters, you can loosen the fittings of the flow meter and rotate them 90 degrees. Then you can wire the angle plug of the flow meter. Rotate the flow meter back into the original position and retighten the fittings again. Please assure via a pressure test that the connection is leak-proof. Ensure that the protective earth is connected. " Caution! Before you switch on the power supply, ensure that all transmitters are correctly connected to the power supply. 6.2 Medium Connection " Caution! Before connecting the medium supply, check that all sensors are properly installed and connected to the transmitters. Check if cooling water and sample is available. If a sample preparation panel is used please read the operating instruction of this panel carefully. Always turn on the cooling water first then turn on the medium. 6.3 Connection between two or more panels All components to connect the sample conditioning panels to a measuring panel (e.g. C- A100220-70, C-A100208-50, C-A100209-50 ) are in the scope of delivery. Connect the sample conditioning panel with fittings for 12 mm pipes to a measuring panel. The main sample line is blocked at the right end. To connect a further panel to the right, this blind plug must be removed. Endress+Hauser 34

Each mounting plate has an inlet needle valve which allows to separate each measurement line. To separate a measurement line, e.g. for maintenance, first close the valve of the incoming measurement line. The flow can be adjusted with the inlet needle valve. The optional flow meter allows measuring the flow and offering an electrical switch contact, which indicates a flow below the minimum. # Warning! For max. pressure and temperature conditions for the media at the sample inlet, refer to the technical data in chapter 11! The outlet of the measurement plates should have no counter pressure.
