As we slide towards the end of another year don t leave it too late to get your 2019 ACU Trials Licence with the Christmas and New Years bank holidays just around the corner. If you haven t got yours for the Little Bealings trial on January 6th you won t be able to ride. It s not guaranteed that day licences will be available but I believe they are 10 plus an extra charge for an admin fee which will work out more for one trial than the cost of an ACU trials licence for a whole year. SO GET IT NOW. Contact June for your unique ACU licence renewal number. Controversy aside with regards to bikes being placed into the specials class, this years Thumpers trial had a hard act to follow when last years Thumpers was praised as one of the best but it did and if anything surpassed it in spades. Clerk of the Course Chris Chapman, Ted and the course plotters were rewarded with a decent entry of 72 riders who found a course that had routes catering for those EDITORIAL looking for a challenge through to those just seeking an enjoyable potter around. I didn t hear or have seen anything but praise for the work put in, thank you and well done. Club news; both the Treasures and Membership Secretary positions have been filled. Craig Crowfoot becoming the new Treasurer and Kevin Plummer the new Membership Secretary. December will be a transition period behind the scenes with them both taking up their respective positions and joining the committee formally from January. Subsequently Dave and June will be stepping down and retiring from regular club activities, thank you for all your hard work you have both put into the club over the years. Keep yer feet up, have a Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year, P.S. Next club night will be on the 8th not the 2nd Jan 19 BOXFORD TRIAL WORKING PARTY Will be on the 8th December at 9.00. If there is no response as of last year there will be no trial. Contact Phill on 01787 210595. Phill has permission to cancel the trial if there is no response. Thank you, Ted. Front Cover.
