Need volunteers to man our Kiwanis team. 12. 14 Feb: Riley Childrens Hospital 3 Wishes Presentation by Dr Swigonski in Scottsburg. Location and time to be determined. 13. 22 Feb: Greater Scott County Annual Chamber Dinner at 6:00 PM at MASP. We are reserving a table for Kiwanis. Please let Al Riggle know if you plan on attending. 14. 10 Mar: Indiana District of Kiwanis Mid Year Convention at Kiwanis International in Indianapolis, IN. Old Business: 1. Riley Children s Hospital 3 Wishes Project. There are now 12 hubs throughout the state of Indiana to assist in identification and treatment of children with early childhood development issues including autism. Material is now available to assist local family practice docs and pediatricians educate families and screen! 6

children to reduce the age of diagnosis. Al Riggle and Mike Everett (SMH) met to start coordinating a presentation by Dr Swigonski for the local community. Contact with her staff looks like the tentative date for the presentations will be 14 Feb. New Business: 1. The Board approved Mike Everett (SMH) as a new Director to finish Jack McWhirter s term. Jack s seat was left vacant after he was elected to serve as Secretary. We still need to find a candidate to run for President Elect and a candidate to fill Dave Church s seat as a director. Dave will be moving in the spring to Florida. 2. Al Riggle advised the club members he had decided to notify Gov Steve Ingram that he would be willing to serve the remaining portion of this year as Scenic Hills Lt Gov. Al will notify Gov Ingram Friday, 5 Jan. 3. Scott County Partnership Trivial Pursuit Competition will be held on 4 Feb at 6:00 PM at MASP. Teams will consist of eight members. Rosie Alsup has agreed to be on the team. Need volunteers to fill the team so we can plan our theme and snacks. Need to get a check from Bunny South, Treasurer, to pay for our team. 4. The Club Assessment Committee has started meeting and preparing a survey to get feedback from club members on how the club is doing and soliciting input on what we can do better. Jack McWhirter, Chris Wakeman, LL Lowry and Al Riggle are on the committee. Plans are to submit a draft assessment for approval of the Board on 1 Feb.
