Itinerary Day 1: Marrakech Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your luxury Riad. Day 2: Marrakech Marrakech is a city to dazzle the senses and today there will be a full day sightseeing tour to introduce you to its delights. Highlights include the marvellous Djemaa El Fna Square - once a site of public execution, now full of storytellers and snake charmers; the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas Spend the morning exploring Marrakesh at your leisure before heading up into the snow-capped mountains that watch over the city. You will spend the next three nights in the shadow of North Africa's highest mountain (Djebel Toubkal 4167m), and the views are spectacular. (B,D) Day 4: High Atlas This morning meet your guide at the hotel and head to Assagou village (1740m) from where you will start a nice ascending walk through pine trees to Ouaoufghrast hill (2300m). This is a great spot for breathtaking views of the green valley and the snow capped peaks as the backdrop.you will then continue following a footpath to Aremd village and then carry on to Iswale river bed (1900m). From there follow an ascending path known as the main route to Toubkal summit to the shrine (2300m) that is visited mostly by pilgrims in summer time. The last section to Tizi Zgarren (2500m) offers great views of Mizane valley and its entrenched berber villages as you return to Assagou village. (B,L,D) Total walking time: 5 hours
Day 5: High Atlas Free day to enjoy the fresh mountain air and fantastic scenery. (B,L,D) Day 6: High Atlas - Essaouira Winding back down towards and then through Marrakesh, it is on to Essaouira. Fronted by dramatic sea bastions and surrounded by walled fortifications, the Atlantic breezes keep this harbour town cool even in the height of the summer. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 7: Essaouira Today you are free to spend the day walking the ramparts and exploring the back alleys of the enclosed Medina. Stroll along the sandy beach and watch the fisherman bring in their haul. (B) Day 8: Essaouira - Marrakech After breakfast transfer back to Marrakech, to spend some time leisurely sightseeing on your own and perhaps shopping in the colourful souks. (B) Day 9: Marrakech Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)

Imlil Douar Samra Guest House The Douar Samra is situated at an altitude at 1850 m in the Atlas Mountains, 20 minute walk or mule ride from the village of Imlil, which is 90 minute drive from Marrakesh. Integrated into a traditional Berber village -made up of thirty or so traditional stone and rammed-earth dwellings-, the Douar Samra has been carefully restored using ancient, traditional methods. The residence has been decorated and furnished to reflect Berber living and consequently the style is simple with all furnishings, rugs and coverings sourced from local craftsmen. There are 10 bedrooms distributed in three different buildings, each with its own bathroom, some with fireplace or with balcony. In keeping with the natural feel, the rooms in the main building don't have lights or electricity and the candle-lit evenings add to the warm atmosphere.
