Rancho Cucamonga earned a 5-3 victory in the series opener on Monday before the Giants rallied for an 8-7 win yesterday. DJ Myers (3-3, 5.72 ERA) is slated to make the start on the mound for San Jose today. The Giants Yesterday s victory for San Jose snapped a five-game losing streak. The Giants have still lost eight out of their last ten games and 16 out of 21 overall. San Jose hasn t won back-to-back games since taking three straight from July 13-15. The Giants have lost six consecutive series. San Jose has won only one series in the second half (3-1 vs. Visalia, July 13-16). Homestand Update The Giants are 1-4 during their current homestand (0-3 vs. Lake Elsinore, 1-1 vs. Rancho Cucamonga). All four losses have been by one or two runs.
