Commander's Corner PLEASE DON'T RENEW ONLINE!!!!! PLEASE DON'T USE YOUR CREDIT CARD TO RENEW!!!!!! How D y'all Our new shed area is comings together quickly. The areas where the old ones sat are cleaned up for the most part. Thanx to all who helped us get squared away. I would like to especially thank our S.A.L. for their generous donation of $1,000.00 toward the final cost and Glen Swart for the shelves. Great help there, guys. Also thanx to Donnie Ashmore and Jeff Plybon for their arms and backs in moving the cooker to it's final resting place. The back ladies powder room has gotten the new drywall put up, Thanks to Robby B. There will not be a halloweenie party this year since the wounded warriors will be here on the 29 th for their luau party. These are our true heroes and all Post members are urged to attend. The soldiers will eat first and free. The rest of us will eat for $3.00. Bobby Hubcat will be performing for us. We are also raffling off booze and we need your help in donating a bottle or nine. Notice: Our Post is not a warehouse. Just when we get the old junk removed or donated, more stuff appears. We just don't have the room. Our Post is out of walkers. If you have any at home or work, we sure could use them, if they are clean and working. We also need goodies for the Troops. Read Cindy's letter below for more info. The Legion is looking for a few good men. Our Sgt.-at-Arms, Dave Montgomery has resigned due to personal reasons. The Office of Historian is open as well, and, on a very sad note, Milky has passed away. Our Charter will be draped in his honor. Milky has been a member here since the beginning and was on the E-Board and that position needs to be filled too. Anyone wishing to fill these positions please attend the next meeting and we will decide then. The following is a note of caution. We, Carol and I, fell for the pitch of switching and bundling our phone, internet and TV to comcast. What a giant mistake. The very next day I called them and told them Get your S#@% out of my house and put it back the way it was. They did not show up. Anyway, here is something most of you do not know. When you switch phone service to another party, they now own that number. When you decide to go back to a real phone company, you will loose that number you've had for life unless you can convince them to give it back to Sprint or whatever they call themselves now. That's what happens when the Blowhards of the Belchway get involved in something they know absolutely nothing about, which is pretty much everything. O.K., I'm done grumbling for now. So stay healthy and safe. Yours in service, Dave Doty
