We also have film/event production professionals working with the ORGA team but they are handling non-game related issues. Since we are a company registered with the goverment, we are subject to more scrutiny than just the local clubs. If we fail in our duty you can always pursue the necessary ways. Which we think is needed for a better ETC.
Host community Community in Croatia is divided by Geography, with most players gravitating towards larger cities (Zagreb, Split, Osijek, Slavonski Brod, Rijeka) Most of the clubs are registered as Non-profits and as such have legal forms. There are 10 registered clubs. There are about 100 players active at any given time, with a number involved in hobbies is over 1000+. Community is compact and deeply integrated with the gaming scene in Serbia and Slovenia. Since this a larger than club operation, we count on getting the support of all clubs. In total, every year there are 6 mayor gaming events. 2 T9A and 4 40K. They are held every year. Most cities try to organize at least 1 event every year. The 40K Community in Zagreb had been housing an international tournament for 3 years. Known as WTC it was attended by 10 teams in 2017. E. Gaming Essentials 17. Table quantity : number and provenance of tables for the event We plan to use the same tables we had for ETC 2018, but if needed we will have new ones produced for 2020. And we will make sure they are bit taller this time since the tables are built to our specifications. Designed by players, (this time by a longer chap!) 18. Boards: We plan to use the same boards we had for ETC 2018, but if needed we will have new ones produced for 2020. 19. Terrain quality : We plan to use the same methods we used in ETC 2018 for terrain, but this time we will make sure there is no missed or mixed signals between production and player requests. Every game system will have their terrain needs met. 20. Chairs : We learned that plastic chairs work mostly fine, this time we will make sure to get extra to replace the broken ones and have some sturdier ones just to make sure. We learned a good amount to improve from ETC 2018 about Section E and how we can improve it, we will ask for additional feedback before we enter production for tables and terrains.
F.Referee 23. We believe we had a good amount of referees in ETC 2020, we plan to resort to experienced referees for and first contact the ones from ETC 2018 and 2019. We plan to stick with the method of 40-50 players per one referee method. We will recruit additional referees if a systems numbers increases. This means for a 32 team 40K Event will have 5 referees and a 26 team FoW Event will have 3 or 4 referees. 24. In our community we might have experienced enough referees but we will try to provide the line judges from Croatia. Our initial goal would be trying to fill the entire Ref Corp with experienced internatinal referes. 25-26. Planned refund budget? 3000 Euro Travel+ Accomodation+ Lunch
Streaming We plan to repeat the streaming we had in ETC 2019 and get even better coverage of the ETC possible. Making sure everybody who wants to follow the event can do so easily and secure ETC s position as the premier tabletop gaming event in the world! And in order to accomplish this we will create a media station on venue and provide other necessities like high speed internet so everything goes smoothly. Learn from 2018 to make a better 2020.
G. Food 27.We do not intend to give direct meal plans for ETC 2020. We learned from 2018 that there are more than enough selections around the venue, this way people can choose the best meal for themselves. Depending on requests this might change. 28. There is a mall directly accross the venue with a food court and two super markets where food can be acquired easily. 29-30.N/A Unless requested by players, we do not intend to provide a meal plan. 31. We will have a bar, stocked in a more organised fashion from the sales numbers we learned from ETC 2018.
H. Sponsors Third Party Involvement 32-33. We plan to repeat our sponsorship deals from ETC 2018 for ETC 2020 which include; Zagreb tourist board Culture board of Zagreb with accommodation Brewery with beer Biggest FLGS with prize models and friendly connection to GW, PP and other model suppliers www.cartamagica.hr 34. Media coverage, selling space for vendors and bars. Since space is not a real problem the vendors are welcome to open shop themselves. We also understand we might be thinking differently about sponsors and their roles from some of the traditional ETC sponsors, we will work on finding a common ground with a more open mind for ETC 2020. 35. As the ETC 2018 attendees would know, we have more than enough space to provide for any and every sponsor for activities and shops if necessary. A few fatmat suppliers with discounted prices on the event. For now, we intend to bring more sponsors to the event. Better quality of terrain and a wider selection of models on tables. Fat mats and terrain on site at discounted prices are all being planed on.
I. Budget 36. Entry fee We plan to have a simple method of entry fee of 20 Euro per day. Regardless of system. So a 3 day ETC event will be 60, 2 day ESC event will be 40 and so on. 37. We will operate the bar as a seperate entity from the ETC budget. 38. In the following pages. 39. Not really hoping to make a giant profit in ETC 2020. If we do we can provide some of the materials we have left for future ETCs. We already sent some of the terrain left to ETC 2019 Organisers like the Flames of War houses we had left.
