FRESH THOROUGHBRED RETURNS WITH A SERIES OF VERY GOOD WORKS (most recent works at 5 furlongs gives him speed and stamina in his corner! SECRETARY GENERAL broke 1 length slow, dueled between rivals mid backside, dueled inside the eventual winner near the far turn (22.90 opening quarter), dropped back 2 lengths as the pace quickened entering the stretch, battled back at midstretch, finished out clearly 2nd best at 870 yards. SILVER EPONA filly by Calimonco sports a series of good works under J Nunez. The "X" factor of the field!
