Reduced space requirement and easy deployment Unlike any other vibrocorer system, our vibrocorer can be deployed and recovered to deck in the horizontal or vertical axis, meaning that the user can choose the best deployment and recovery method for the vessel they are operating from. Not only does real time penetration allow the operator to confirm penetration but it also shows the rate of penetration through the substrate. This helps to understand the structure of the seabed before the sample is even recovered. Standard Sensors Frame inclination Inclination is displayed on the topside controller to ensure the frame has landed safely. This ensures the sea floor gradient is acceptable and safe for the equipment to operate on. System statistics and health System voltages, umbilical data quality and equipment statistics are constantly monitored and any anomalies are automatically reported back to the engineer in real time to aid in setup and troubleshooting. Heat flow probe module The FT580 heat flow probe system adds heat flow capabilities to the vibrocorer system. Up to 60 heat flow sensors can be installed on the thermal system interface unit. The control and analysis software is fully integrated into the Feritech Global HUB software, this means that our vibrocorer, CPT, heat flow and winch products are all controlled from the same intuitive interface. magcore module The magcore adds the ability to see oncoming ferromagnetic obstructions within the ground. This has many uses from UXO (unexploded ordnance) detection to measuring the depth of sheet piling or other metallic foundations. The sensors measure in 3 dimensions and so can detect a target both in front of and to the side of the barrel. Heat flow probe Additional Optional Modules System depth The vibrocorer has an integrated depth sensor that accurately records and displays the distance it is from the sea surface. The depth sensors are plug and play and are user changeable for different depths as required. By monitoring the settlement it is possible to accurately position the recovered core to ensure the core record is referenced to the correct datum.
