Tuesday, August 30 th thru Sunday, September 25 th Tournament Coordinator: Gordon GALLIGAN: 619-549-8043 cell 1. Object of the Tournament The object of this tournament is to provide a fun, equitable competition for OBAC members and their guests to target different species of fish. 2. Allowable Species All species listed in the Official 2016 North Carolina Saltwater Fishing Tournament and having a specific citation weight are eligible. Release only species are not eligible. 3. Scoring and Finishing Placement Each catch will be scored as a percentage of the species citation weight. To calculate the score of your entry, divide the weight of your catch by the citation weight for the species and multiply the result by 100. Examples Angler #1 Flounder, 6 lbs. Citation weight 5 lbs. 6 5 = 1.2 x 100 = 120% Angler #2 Dolphin, 30 lbs. Citation weight 35 lbs. 30 35 =.85 x 100 = 85% Finishing placement will be determined in decreasing percentage order. Catches with the same percentage will be placed in earliest weigh-in time order. 4. Deadline for Entries Entry registrations must be forwarded to the Tournament Coordinator prior to departing on any fishing trip. 5. Eligible Participants The tournament is open to all members and their guests. This is an amateur tournament. Therefore, professional charter boats and captains services may not be hired for this tournament. However, small-boat charter captains who are also OBAC members may enter the tournament and fish with other members and/or guests. 6. Entry Fee Members and guests - $20.00 per angler Anglers age 15 and under free 7. Awards The total of all tournament entry fees collected will be awarded as shown below: 1 st Place 50% 2 nd Place - 30% 3 rd Place - 20% In the event less than 3 fish are entered, the awards will be: 8. Allowed Fishing 2 Fish 1 st Place - 60% 2 nd Place 40% 1 Fish 100% Fishing is allowed from a boat, pier, or shore. All fish must be caught by use of rod and reel. To be eligible for prizes, fish must be hooked and caught by the entrant. No other person may touch the rod, reel or line. Page #1 of 5

Entrants are responsible for being familiar with applicable fisheries laws and neither OBAC, nor any member thereof, is responsible for inaccurate information given. Entrants are responsible for obtaining fishing licenses. 9. Boundaries Fishing is allowed only in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and North Carolina Inland Waterways between the below listed latitudes (Per LatLong.net). Northernmost latitude (NC/VA border) 36 31' 57.9648'' N Southernmost latitude (NC/SC border) 33 50' 47.6916'' N 10. Days of Fishing Tuesday, August 30, 2016 thru Sunday, September 25, 2016 All fish must be caught and weighed-in on the dates of the tournament. 11. Weather Each entrant is responsible for evaluating weather conditions on tournament days and for determining whether to fish. 12. Cancellation In the unlikely event the tournament must be cancelled, entry fees will be refunded. 13. Disqualification A violation of these rules is grounds for disqualification from the tournament. 14. Official Weigh Station Any Official NC Weigh Station may be utilized. Weigh-in must be documented and signed by the weigh station employee on an Outer Banks Anglers Club Catch Record form. Citation fish may be entered on the official NC form. All entries must be reported to the Tournament Coordinator no later than the day following the catch. Utilize voicemail and e-mail if necessary. A copy of the signed catch record or NC Citation Fish form must be forwarded to the Tournament Coordinator as soon as possible following the report of catch. Disputes The members of the OBAC Board of Directors will resolve all issues, questions, protests, or disputes and their decision will be final. 16. OBAC Reserved Right The OBAC Board of Directors reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone for a well-founded reason. 17. Vessel Safety All vessels used in fishing this tournament must adhere to USCG regulations for their size and category. 18. Weigh-In Conditions Each angler may enter one fish. It is allowable for a higher scoring fish, caught on a subsequent trip, to replace a previous entry. Fish must not be mutilated in any way.

By registering, the entrant holds harmless- the OBAC, the OBAC Board of Directors, the Tournament Coordinator, donors, all persons connected directly or indirectly with the operation of the tournament, from liability of any kind including, but not limited to - libel, slander, loss, damage, negligence, harm, injury, or death, suffered by - an entrant, a companion, boat captain, crew member, family vessel, or equipment, which occurred during the tournament.
