The present Hall was built in 1483 and has some of the medieval construction still surviving today. Many features of the Golf Course date back centuries for example the spring fed lake in front of the club house with the water flow used to drive a mill for grinding corn, as well as being a watering hole for the stock that was kept on the land. The present owners originally obtained planning permission in 1988 to convert the farmland into a Golf Course and work commenced in 1994 with the design work undertaken by Ace Golf Ltd and course building by Michael Lowe and Associates. Emphasis was placed on utilising the natural contours of the land. The course was opened on October 14th 1995 with the club house open for use in October 1996.
