VICTORIAN OFF ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP SPORTING REGULATIONS 2015 All events in the 2015 Victorian Off Road Championship will be conducted under International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), Off Road Standing Regulations, these Victorian Off Road Championship Sporting Regulations and the Supplementary Regulations as published by the Organisers of each event as well as any Further Regulations or Instructions which may be issued. All events will be conducted under and in accordance with the CAMS risk management and occupational, health and safety policies, which can be found at www.cams.com.au 1. Advertising. By entering any event in the 2015 Victorian Off Road Championship, Clubs, Corporations and persons agree to refer to the Championship by its full title: Round # - 2015 Victorian Off Road Championship. The right is reserved to include a Series Sponsor s name in the title pursuant to any agreement, which may be made between CAMS and the said sponsor. All promotional material must include the full title. CAMS is to be recognised on all event paperwork. 2. Championship Schedule. The Victorian Off Road Championship shall consist of events conducted by Clubs under the jurisdiction of CAMS Club and Sport Development Councils. Points gained at any or all events will count towards the Championship in accordance with the published Points Score system. 3. Events. a. General Events will be either long course or short course off road events as defined in the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. 1
b. Starting Order Starting Order will be determined by the running of a Prologue c. Finisher To be classified as a finisher a crew must complete either the complete course or the specified number of laps within the time duration allowed by the organisers, as specified in the Supplementary Regulations / Further Regulations for the event. d. Supplementary Regulations Please refer to NCR 64 & NCR 67 All paperwork is to be forwarded to vicpermits@cams.com.au e. Points To be eligible for Championship points, crews will be required to the be classified as a finisher at not less than 50% of the nominated events. Points will be awarded as per the Point Score system of item 7 below. In addition only the first named co-driver / navigator is eligible for points and then only if he/she completes at least one (1) lap of the event and provided the vehicle is classified as a finisher. 4. Registration. A registration fee of $15-00 per entry per event is to be paid. This fee is to be included with post-event paperwork to be forwarded to Victorian State Office, along with the balance of the Permit Fees, by the organising club. 5. Competitor Eligibility. Each competing crew member must hold a current and valid CAMS National Off Road Licence, i.e.: NO, NON, NOJ, NONJ, NONSE and be a current financial member of a CAMS affiliated club. 6. Vehicle Eligibility. With reference to the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport, vehicles must comply with the requirements of the National Competition Rules, and Off Road Standing Regulations as per 4.2 (1). 7. Championship Points. Points will be awarded to each crew member in each event according to the following point structure. a. Victorian Off Road Champion Driver, Co-Driver/Navigator Awards for the Victorian Off Road Champions (Outright) will be based on outright points determined at each round. Points are allocated as follows. 2
1st Outright 100 Points 2nd Outright 90 Points 3rd Outright 80 Points 4th Outright 70 Points 5th Outright 60 Points 6th Outright 50 Points 7th Outright 40 Points 8th Outright 30 Points 9th Outright 20 Points 10th Outright 10 Point b. Points will be awarded to each competitor in their respective classes as follows: 1st Place 100 Points 2nd Place 90 Points 3rd Place 80 Points 4th Place 70 Points 5th Place 60 Points 6th Place 50 Points 7th Place 40 Points 8th Place 30 Points 9th Place 20 Points 10th Place 10 Points In addition all competitors who do not score a position will be awarded 5 points. 8. Titles and Awards. a. Victorian Off Road Champion Driver / Navigator. As well as receiving trophies, the first 3 place getters in outright championship position will receive prize monies as determined by the Victorian Off Road Panel and published at the beginning of the season. The Victorian Off Road Champion Driver / Navigator will be invited to attend the Victorian Off Road Award Presentation. Outright winner will be eligible to display a red first digit of their cars competition number to signify they are the Victorian champion for the following season. This number will be presented by the panel at said awards night. b. Victorian Off Road Class Winner Driver / Navigator. The class winners will be the competitors who accumulate the greatest number of points over the Championship within a particular class. Trophies and/or prizes will be awarded to the Class winners as determined by the Victorian Off Road Panel. These awards will be presented at the Victorian Off Road Award Presentation. The winning Drivers and Navigators will be invited to attend. The winning driver of the Super 1650 Class will be awarded the Frank Vandenberg Memorial Trophy. Other awards may be made throughout the course of the season at the discretion of the Victorian Off Road Panel. 9. Results. As required by NCR 174, the Secretary of the Meeting will provide results to all competitors who compete in their event within 120 hours of the meeting. A copy is also required to be forwarded to CAMS with post event reports, and the Championship Point Co-Coordinator: Craig Button 10. General. (a) Any vehicle which deviates from the marked course, which includes driving on the course against the direction of the traffic, will face a time penalty or exclusion from the event, dependant on the Stewards. If vehicle is being towed to Pit for repairs or fuel, they will rejoin the race at the official start line on the same lap on which they deviated from, if late running time permits. 3
(b) Event Officials: The following officials as listed on event Supplementary Regulations are classified as essential officials and cannot compete or perform other duties at the event viz. Clerk of Course, Event Secretary, CAMS appointed Stewards, Chief Scorer, Chief Scrutineer, (c) Vehicle Log Books: The Chief Scrutineer will hold each vehicle log book until the completion of that vehicles competition for the meeting. It will be the competitors responsibility to collect the log book at the conclusion of the meeting. Any unclaimed log books will be forwarded to the CAMS Victorian State Office. (d) Event Entry List: A list of event competitors including their postal address and which club they represent is to be forwarded to the club organising the following round.
