The Premier Hunter Jumper Horse Show is operated in accordance with the current rules of the Louisiana Hunter Jumper Association and is rated local. NLEA and LHJA membership forms available in the horse show office. This is an open show. Rider and/ or owner need not be members of either association in order to enter. RULES AND REGULATIONS PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU ENTER Schooling: Open schooling is allowed Friday and Saturday up to 30 min before show starts. and Friday for 1 hour at the conclusion of the show. There will be no schooling breaks during the show. Adds / Scratches : All adds and scratches should be done in the horse show office. No adds or scratches at the gate, please. Awards: 1st 6th place ribbons, awards to 1st place and champion. Rosettes to champion and reserve with classes of at least 2 O/F and 3 U/S riders. 2 riders in all jumper classes. Entries: Entries are due on or before Wednesdayy, August 24.. Entries received after the closing date may be charged a 15 late fee. A negative coggins must be presented before numbers will be issued for all horses not boarded at DREC. Coggins must be valid according to the laws of Louisiana. Class fees are 25 each individual class (exception warm ups, medals and classics as stated on form) or 65 for all three classes of a division. Changes: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes and/or divisions and alter courses and do all things deemed necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. ALL RIDERS mounted on show grounds must have ASTM approved headgear in accordance with current USEF rules. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor and trainer to be familiar with the rules and regulations of USEF, NLEA and LHJA. NLEA Riders must be an NLEA and LHJA member in good standing and horses must be recorded in order to earn points towards year end awards. Points will count for all hunter, jumper, equitation, flat, medal and classic classes. (Add back warm up classes are excluded) Multiple horses are allowed. The rider with the most points on one / all horses to receive award at the Premier Hunter Jumper Show at Double Rainbow Farm on Oct 16-17, 2015. Office will open at 4 PM. Jumper courses at each level to consist of USEF table 2.11.b, table 2.11c and table 2.1a in this order: USEF Table II.2.b. (jump off round class) If rider goes clean in the first round upon an audible signal and without leaving the ring starts the designated jump off course. Least faults, fastest time wins. First round may also be timed making it possible to break the ties of horses with four faults. UESF Table II.2.c (power and speed) Rider must jump first round clean and upon crossing the finish line of the power part continues immediately to the jump off course, the speed part. Time starts as the rider crosses the finish line of the initial course. USEF Table IV.1.1 Optimum Time (optimum time is defined as 4 seconds less than Time Allowed based on 382 yds/min). The horse closest to the optimum time (without going over) and the least faults will prevail. Faults will be scored under Table II. Level 0 / Hopeful 2 3-2'6" Open to all horses and ponies that do not jump higher than 3'0" at this show. Level 1 / Low Schooling 2 9-3'0" Spreads to 3'0"-- Open to all horses and riders.
