Letter from your Commodore I want everyone to know the Steak Fry was a Blast! If you missed it, you missed a good time, good food, good people, good weather, good entertainment and good drink. Thanks to all who had a hand in this years event. Armand and Joey did a great job hoisting the sails in the back room. The Huron Boat Basin Trip was also a great time. We met up with the Point Yacht Club and had a great time with them all day on Saturday. Most of the WYC people showed up on Friday and as usual the girls went to the Huron Yacht Club to make dinner reservations -- not an easy task! It took them many, many drinks to do this. This is an annual event each year that always seems to take a long time to complete, but they get it done. Also, a BIG personal thanks to Dan & Marge Lucas for their hospitality and making sure the Commodore got to Huron (since the Commodore does not have a boat in the water -- even when John and Patty Kiernan tried their darndest to get a new boat purchased prior to Huron). See you at the next Meeting - July 13th at 1930 Hours in The Wheelhouse back room. Commodore Roger Kubera Vice Commodore Joey Gary Sorry I missed last month. A lot of things are happening around the club. We have the dingy poker run coming up, July 2 nd. Looking forward to all the dingy poker players. We made some changes this year that I think all will enjoy. What a great turn out for the Huron cruise. Congrats and a great job to Power Fleet Captain Jim. Get your bowling balls and shoes ready for next year. I took it upon myself to challenge Point Yacht Club to a bowling tournament next year at Huron. No blinds. A job well done to Rear Commodore Bev Sams for a fantastic steak fry, keep up the good work. In closing, we are still signing new members, lets keep it going. Smooth sailing, Sea ya at the club, V/C Joey Gary
