Keel Boats & Trailables SPORT PHILLIP FRIDAY PURSUIT SERIES #2 Race 5 Big welcome to Anthea and Amadeus who were out for the first sail in the fleet. Congratulations to: 1 st Shanghai 2 nd Miss Marilyn 3 rd Balance Big thanks to Ross Martin and the team from Aphrodite for a great job in the tower. Race 6 is being held Friday 19 th February, pursuit start at 18:00H. Start Sheet is attached ON DUTY: Andrew Stocks and the Duty Boat is Jaslyn 2 crew members are required to assist and will need to arrive in the tower at around 17:15 SAIL PENINSULA 2016 What an excellent weekend. The Passage Race was a great spectacle with a total of 51 boats competing from the three clubs involved and SBSC put up a great showing with 15 of our yachts participating. The fleet on Sunday was substantially smaller but we were very proud to have an AMS team competing for the first time. RESULTS: Saturday Passage Race (Quantum Sails Series Race 2): PHD was sponsored by Marine Pool prizes will presented after the Twilight Race on Friday. QUANTUM SAIL SUNDAY SERIES Race 3 Women s Skippers Race Sunday 21 st February - Combined start at 13:30H This Sunday is the Club s Annual Women's Skippers Race. Please show your support to get as many yachts on the water as possible with both women steering & crewing. We have previously had 12 yachts competing so with 50+ boats on the register now, we should be able to get even more!! The weather forecast looks perfect so please see if you can attend. SBSC Keel Boat Racing Junior & Parent Crew Night Friday Night 4 th March Our 4 th Annual Junior Crew Night with Keel Boat Fleet is coming around again and will be held on Friday March 4 th. SBSC and the Keel Boat Members would like to extend an invitation to all Junior Sailing Members to come and experience sailing on a Keel Boat on this night. Further this year we are also extending the invitation to the junior s parents if they would like to join their junior on the Keel Boat for the race. Whilst this invitation is addressed to all Juniors those under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent. Juniors & their parent/s will need to be ready to launch from Martha Cove at approximately 5 5:30 pm. (please with personal PFD s & appropriate shoes) Afterwards there will be live music at the club and everyone s families are welcome back for dinner and drinks. A Special Junior Meal Offer will be available for all junior members and the sailing juniors are welcome to sit at reserved tables to debrief. (Please book separately at snookscatering@bigpond.com) It will be a great Family Night at the Club for everyone. Please let us know ASAP if your Junior Sailing Member with or without a parent is able to sail at ciaran.snooks@gmail.com so we can assign sailors to boats.
