UPCOMING EVENTS INFO Boys Varsity Baseball (3/5, 3/7, & 3/8) The boys varsity baseball team has three matches this week. Their first game is tonight at home against Allatoona at 5:55 p.m. They ll play Allatoona again on Thursday, this time away but with the same start time. Their final game is an away game on Friday against Creekview with a start time of 5:55 p.m. Good Luck! Coed Varsity Tennis (3/5, 3/6, 3/7, & 3/11) Come out and support our Knights tennis teams!! Tonight, both varsity teams will place against Sequoyah at the Bradshaw Tennis Facility around 4:00 p.m. Then, tomorrow, both JV teams will play an away game against Sequoyah, with the first match starting around 4:00 p.m. The follow day, the Varsity girls will play a home match against Osborne HS with the same start time. The final match of the week will be the JV Girls facing off against Cherokee in a home game at 4:00 p.m. Varsity Soccer (3/5, 3/8, & 3/9) There will be a total of six varsity games this week. The first of the boys two games is tonight against South Cobb High School at South Cobb. Their next game is a home game against Pickens High School. The game against South Cobb starts at 8:00 p.m. and the one against Pickens starts at 7:30 p.m. The girls team has four games this week. Their first game is tonight against South Cobb at South Cobb with a start time of 5:30 p.m. They also have a game against East Jackson in the Tournament of Champions at the Jekyll Island Soccer Complex with a start time of 3:45 p.m. Their Tournament of Champions campaign continues on Saturday as they have two games on that day. The first one will be at 9:00 a.m. against Jefferson and their second game will be against Pike County at 2:00 p.m. The venue on Saturday will be the North Glynn Recreation Complex. Good luck to both teams on their games this week! JV Baseball (3/5, 3/7, & 3/11) There will be three junior varsity games this week. Their first game will be tonight at Cartersville HS at 5:55 p.m. Their next game will be a home match vs. Marietta also at 5:55 p.m. The final JV Baseball game this week will be next Monday vs. Kell HS here at 5:55 p.m. Good luck to the JV Baseball team will all of their matches. 4
Varsity Lacrosse (3/5, 3/7, & 3/11) There will be four Varsity Lacrosse games this week. There will be two games tonight as the girls play at home against Sequoyah and the boys travel to Chattahoochee High school for a game starting at 7:45 p.m. Both teams will then play on Thursday as the girls will play Pebblebrook at home and the boys will also be at home against Sprayberry at 5:30 p.m. Good luck to both teams on their games this week! Coed Varsity Track (3/6 & 3/9) The Coed Varsity Track team will have two meets this upcoming week. Their first meet will be against Roswell HS in a home meet tomorrow, starting around 4:00 p.m. Their other meet this week will be in the River Ridge Invitationals this Saturday. The invitational will begin around 8:00 a.m. Good luck to all those competing. JV Soccer (3/6, 3/8, & 3/11) It is a busy week for both JV Soccer teams, as the boys play three games this upcoming week while the girls will play two matches. Both teams first match will be tomorrow at Etowah HS, with the girls match beginning at 5:30 p.m. while the boys match following at 7:30 p.m. The JV boys will also play a home match against Pickens High School this Friday at 5:30 p.m. Finally, both teams will play a match next Monday, with the boys playing Allatoona in an away game starting around 5:30 p.m. while the girls face off against Kell HS here at River Ridge at 5:55 p.m. 5
LAST WEEK HIGHLIGHTS Boys Varsity Lacrosse (2/28) Hard found battle with the cross town rivals. The final score was 5 (RRHS) and 10 (WHS). Best of luck next time! Girls Varsity Lacrosse (2/28) The Lady Knights picked up their first home with of the season by defeating Cherokee High School with the final score of 15 (RRHS) and 12 (Cherokee). Shout out to Hanna Vecsey, Stephanie Willard, Hailey Efel, Zoe Nehrboss, Nora Mansell, Ellie Howard, and Allison Himiob for scoring. Coed Varsity Track (2/28) While the RRHS track team put up a fight, we fell short to Woodstock by just one point. 6
Girls Varsity Soccer (3/1) The Lady Knights played tough against Creekview, holding them to the half at 0-0. Creekview scored 1 goal in the second half after a corner kick. The Lady Knights also had some shots on goal and almost tied it up in the last seconds of the game with a corner kick that was kicked out by the Creekview goalie. Coed Track Wolverine Invitational (3/2) This past Saturday on March 2, select track athletes competed in the Wolverine Invitational against several schools in the region. The boys placed 9th and the girls placed 10th. Great job, Knights! 7
