The Friars are 5-16 (2-8 BIG EAST) with a 4-6 record in home games. A win on Sunday would snap the Musketeers longest losing streak of the year and give Xavier the series sweep over the Friars. XU won the first meeting between the two schools, 71-59, on Jan. 4 at Cintas Center. FASTBREAK POINTS Maddison Blackwell scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with two 3-pointers at Creighton. The sophomore forward entered the game with only three made 3-pointers on the year (3-of-10). The Musketeers hit 56.3 percent of their 3-pointers against Creighton, going 9-of-16 from behind the arc. The nine 3-pointers is the second most in a game by XU this season, one shy of tying its season high of 10 at Cincinnati on Dec. 14. Jenna Crittendon had 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting at Creighton, her second straight game in double figures. The junior guard has averaged 8.9 points per game during BIG EAST play, up from 4.9 points per game in nonconference action. Maleeka Kynard tied her career high in rebounding with a team-high six rebounds on Friday at Creighton. The senior guard also added seven points and a team-high four assists. XU hit 56.5 percent of its shot attempts in the second half against Creighton. XU opened the second period hitting 11 of its first 16 shots with four 3-pointers. The 65 points at Creighton were the most points by XU in a game since posting 71 in the win over Providence on Jan. 4. The Musketeers were held under 60 points in their previous two outings. LAST TIME OUT The Musketeers dropped a 74-65 contest at Creighton on Friday, Jan. 30. The Bluejays used a 19-8 run to close the game and scored 17 second-chance points off of 15 offensive rebounds. Creighton also held a 40-26 advantage in points in the paint. LAST TIME OUT VS THE FRIARS Briana Glover was one of three XU players in double figures in the meeting earlier this season, scoring a game-high 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
