February 21, 2014 Burns Flat-Dill City Schools Volume 53, Number 8 Horoscopes Aquarius January 20 th February 18 th Your sense of fun could encourage extravagance or some needless risk with money. The risk should be over soon but the memories of foolishness may linger. Don't overcommit, but you also don't have to run and hide. The days ahead could be stressful, and it won't be possible to keep it all secret. Just be forthright and honest and don't assume all the blame. It will all be fine again a few days later. Pisces February 19 th March 20 th Be careful whose advice you take, if any. Wild ideas and questionable suggestions abound, especially about money. This confusion should quiet down quickly. You can be loving and giving, but you don't have to sacrifice everything and martyr yourself for any cause. The world needs you too much. If your free spirit or reckless desires get you into hot water, just remember just how charming and sincere you can be. Aries March 21 st April 19 th People might be troublesome and some plans could fall through. Keep a sharp eye on money and avoid arguments if you can. Everything will be all right. Life gets easier and smoother again quickly. Remember to be good to yourself and don't get overexcited. Enjoy the fresh energy and have fun with this. What a roller-coaster ride for your heart! Sudoku Page 5 Fill in the blank squares so that each row, each column and each 3-by-3 block contain all of the digits 1 thru 9. If you use logic you can solve the puzzle without guesswork. Taurus April 20 th May 20 th Friends from afar may send you unpleasant news but it's nothing to rock your world. Friends near at hand are here for you. It will all be old news quickly anyway. Keep the mood light with cool, casual fun - nothing heavy. Respect and listen to your heart. Gemini May 21 st June 21 st The work scene looks good, but the social scene looks turbulent. Stay calm and out of any crossfire. You can still maintain that air of cool competence and get more done than you ever imagined. Handling difficult people will get easier for you, not because the people get easier but because you get more skillful and diplomatic. Listen, learn, and then adapt. That's all you need. Cancer June 22 nd July 22 nd There could briefly be crazy times ahead, but nothing you haven't seen before. A friend might also make your life more exciting than you'd like. It will all clear up soon, however, so stay calm and keep smiling. Good Friends are always a blessing. Leo June 23 rd August 22 nd Don't let other people's problems sideswipe you. It might be tempting to overreact and chase after too many good times, but resist that, too. Things will settle down after a while. You deserve to decompress. If people pay more attention to you, know that some of it is well intentioned. Book Review Divergent Beatrice Prior lives in a world where people are divided into one of five factions, depending on their personality. The Abnegation are selfless, living life only to please one another. The Amity live a life of peace with no tolerance for violence or hostility. Candor are brutally honest, always telling the truth and doing what s right. Dauntless are tough, fierce people, the most daring and dangerous of the five. Erudite thirst for knowledge and understanding, desperately needing to analyze the world around them. When the time for the choosing ceremony arrives, Beatrice makes a choice that will change her life forever. Read the first book in the thrilling Divergent trilogy. Veronica Roth has brilliantly orchestrated the most enthralling books you will read, set in a city in the ruins of North America. This is worth a read. Hannah Baca Virgo August 23 rd September 22 nd Cherish some peace and quiet for a few days but remember too much wishful thinking could get in the way of progress. It might even be other people's fantasies and not yours that slow things down for you. Soon some of these obstacles should drift back into the mist. Libra September 23 rd October 23 rd Life may be complicated and it is always good to travel with a buddy. Relish the camaraderie. You might look at a friend and wonder whatever were you thinking when you trusted them. It's always good to reexamine a relationship but not when you are angry or hurt. Scorpio October 24 th November 21 st Being introspective will work to your advantage but you could feel bottled up. Without picking any fights, you can find ways to decompress and be good to your blood pressure. If things get tense at home, smile and remember that you're the lucky one. Sagittarius November 22 nd December 21 st The Moon brings out your jealousies so if you can t say anything nice, don t say anything at all! Travel and meeting new people go hand in hand. Instead of clinging to what you know, take a chance and do something totally new. And be sure to take plenty of pictures, or no one will believe you did it! Capricorn December 22 nd January 19 th Is that little voice inside your head trying to tell you something on? Listen closely to your intuition. If you feel a strong pull to the right, don't even consider going left. If you've been doing lots off stuff for other people but ignoring yourself, do something nice just for you toward the end of the week. Spend some time alone if you feel like it. What is IT??
