TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Event title: The 23 rd Indonesia Men Amateur Open Golf Championship Sanctioned by: Indonesia Golf Association Tournament date: November 22 nd 25 th, 2016 Tournament website: www.pbpgi.org / www.ciputragolf.com Tournament course: Ciputra Golf, Club & Hotel, Surabaya Indonesia Participating association: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar Hongkong, Korea and Australia Tournament format: 72 holes stroke play over four rounds of 18 holes 1. Management Men Amateur Open shall be managed by a Championship Committee, appointed by the Indonesia Golf Association (IGA), hereinafter called the COMMITTEE. 2. Rules of Play The Championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by the R&A Rules Limited & the USGA, Conditions of Competitions and Addendums, and with the Local Rules approved by the Organizing Committee. Disputes, if any, will be settled by the Committee, and a decision made by the Committee will be final. 3. Eligibility The Championship is sanctioned by PGI East Java Chapter and open to all Men Amateur golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the R&A Rules Limited & the USGA, and golfers who have a maximum Handicap Index as follows: Men Amateur Event A: Max USGA Handicap Index: 7.2 or Course Handicap: 09 Men Amateur Event B: Max USGA Handicap Index: 13.2 or Course Handicap: 16 Participant must register with an official Handicap Index from their respective Golf Union or Club. If a player has a Handicap Index maintained at more than one Club, he shall play off the lowest Handicap Index. The 23 rd Indonesia Men Amateur Open Golf Championship 2016 1
4. Playing Schedule The Playing Schedule shall be as follow: Monday, November 21 st, 2016 6:30 AM Practice Round 9:30 AM Team Captains Meeting at Ciputra Golf Meeting Room Tuesday, November 22 nd, 2016 6:30 AM 1 st Round of Championship Wednesday, November 23 rd, 2016 6:30 AM 2 nd Round of Championship Thursday, November 24 th, 2016 6:30 AM 3 rd Round of Championship Friday, November 25 th, 2016 6:30 AM 3:00 PM 4:00 PM Final Round of Championship Prize Presentation and Closing Ceremony Farewell Party 5. Team Competition Each club shall be represented by a team of two (2) or three (3) players all of whom shall be Amateur Golfers according to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the R&A. Each Team may nominate a Captain who may be either one of the two or three players or some other person (must not be a professional golfer). If a Team appoints a person other than a player in the team, he may give advice. The person must be identified to the COMMITTEE at registration prior to the start of the CHAMPIONSHIP. He will be treated as part of the competitor s side and not an outside agency. The Team Captain will not be allowed onto the putting greens when giving advice and must not disturb other players or causing undue delay play. The penalty for breach of this condition is: 1st violation - Official warning Subsequent violation - 2 stroke penalty Team members are not partners and only the Team Captain may give advice during a round. If the Team Captain is a playing Captain, the Rules forbid him from giving advice while he is playing. 6. Scoring Format: A. THE CHAMPIONSHIP I. The Championship will be conducted over four rounds in 4 days playing 18 holes in each round per day for the Men Amateur Event A, using Gross stroke play The 23 rd Indonesia Men Amateur Open Golf Championship 2016 2
(SCRATCH) format. And two rounds playing 18 holes in each round per day for 2 days for the Men Amateur Event B, using Net stroke play (ON HANDICAP). II. Individual Men Amateur Event A 72 holes stroke play on the November 22 nd 25 th, 2016, cut will be applied after finishing 36 holes. The winner of gross category will be the one with the lowest aggregate gross score after 72 holes. Playing from BLACK tee Individual Men Amateur Event B 36 holes stroke play on handicap on the November 24 th 25 th, 2016. The winner Net category will be the one with the lowest aggregate net score after 36 holes. Playing from BLUE tee Men Amateur Event B is divided into 2 flights: i. Flight A : handicap 0 09 ii. Flight B : handicap 09 16 No cut - off III. Men Amateur Team Event A Will be held altogether and not separate during the Championship for 72 holes on November 22 nd 25 th, 2016. The team consists of 2 or 3 players (from same club) and the best 2 scores will be applied as daily team's score. The winner is the team with the lowest aggregate GROSS score combination for 72 holes. If the total team participants are more than 5, the best 4 teams will continue to the next game (3rd day and 4th day), based on best aggregate gross score combination for two days. Playing from BLACK tee. Men Amateur Team Event B Will be held altogether and not separated during The Championship for 36 holes on November 24 th 25 th, 2016. The Team consists of 2 or 3 players (from same club) and the best 2 score will be applied as daily team's score. The winner team is a team with the lowest aggregate NET score for 36 holes. Playing from BLUE tee 7. Ties for Individual &Team Competition A. THE CHAMPIONSHIP Ties Individual: In the event of ties to decide the winner of the 23 rd Indonesia Men Amateur Open Golf Championship 2016 (EVENT A), the winner will be decided by a hole-by-hole play-off. All other ties, winners will be decided by matching score cards (Count Back System). The score of the last 9 holes (10-18), the last 6 holes (13-18), the last 3 holes (16-18), if necessary the last hole (18). If it is still a tie, the winner will be decided by a lot draw. Team : In the event of a tie between teams, it will be decided by matching score cards between one player of each team with the lowest score on the last day as representative of the tying team. 8. Entries and Closing Date All entries are to be made on the Official Entry Form and must reach the CHAMPIONSHIP Office by Saturday, November 19 th 2016 9. Prizes Prizes will be awarded as follow: A. B Individual - 3 best net scores (Handicap 09 16) D. Event A Team Amateur I. Best Team (1 Trophy, 3 Medals) II. Runner-Up 1 (3 Medals) III. Runner-Up 2 (3 Medals) E. Event B Team Amateur I. Best Team (1 Trophy, 3 Medals) II. Runner-Up 1 (3 Medals) III. Runner-Up 2 (3 Medals) Note: In the event a competitor wins both gross and net prizes, both prizes are to be awarded to the competitor. There is no limitation of how many prizes a competitor may win. 10. Draws A play shall be in groups, as determined by the COMMITTEE. The draws for the first two rounds will be made by the Committee. The draw for the last two rounds will be arranged according to the ranking of the first two rounds scores; the lowest scores will tee off last. 11. ENTRY FORM As enclosed below.
