Kestrel luminium Systems THERML FRMING SYSTEM The is for use on commercial and retail buildings, schools and public buildings where low cost and high thermal performance is required. The system can be used in conjunction with the commercial entrance doors and window inserts as required. The thermal break is provided by 36mm wide polyamide strips P 66 GF25 Materials: luminium profiles are extruded from alloy 6060/6063 T6 complying with the recommendations of BS EN 12020-2 Finishes: Mill finish - Product Specification Etched and anodised to BS 3987: 1991 (01.06.2007) - Silver 25 or colours on request. Polyester Powder coat paint to BS EN 12206-1:2004. See separate list for standard colour range available. Construction: luminium profiles are square cut mechanically jointed and secured using stainless steel screws driven into extruded screw splines. ll joints should be sealed against water penetration. Glass, Glazing and Infil Panels: The double glaze framework can accommodate and 32mm thick double glazing units. The system will also accommodate solid infil panels to customers own specification and supply.the thermal performance of the IGU or panel (Ug) should be matched along with the performance of the frame work (Uf) to achieve an overall u-value as required. ll glass panels should be secured in framework with glazing gaskets extruded from TPE. Glazing to be carried out in strict accordance with BS 6262 and BS 6206 with particular attention being taken to risk areas, which would require safety glass. Installation and Fixing: The fixing of all framework is by generic frame fixing screws through the glazing pocket supported by the fixing bridge KS729. It is not recommended that fixing holes are pre-drilled, as site conditions may affect their position. The fixing bridge will also help to eliminate local frame distortion. ll fixing screws must be stainless steel or cadmium plated finish. The colour legend shows the temperature fluctuations across the construction, the red shading giving a nominal internal temperature of 15.5 C. By direct comparison to standard non thermal GFT framing the internal temperature would be approximately 6.4 C. Therm image NON thermal GFT DG Transom KS48 and KS44 bead 10.01.01 Sheet 2 01.11.14

Overall U-values should be calculated in accordance with CB Guide for assessment of the thermal performance of luminium curtain wall framing. ppendix. ssessment of thermal properties of the façade. 10.01.01 Sheet 3 01.11.14
