Manual for Using RES1b, the DCIF Instrumentation Reservation Software NOTE: There is a new remote login procedure. The program will assign a new 6-digit user ID, use the 6-digit UID for reservations. Your password is unchanged. The updated program uses 10-min blocks 24 hours a day. Maximize window size to display the program. Instrument numbers have changed. 1- Use the following protocols for remote login to Cruella, the reservation host computer. Maximize the window size for proper display. 5- Main Menu: Reservations for a Given Day To show the reservations for a given day enter: 1 Enter the first two letters of the day, for Thursday: th All instruments reservations for a given day are displayed. There are three rows for each instrument: mid-8am, 8am-4pm and 4pm-mid. The two digit columns represent each 10 min block for the 8 hour period defined by the row. Each 10 min block is reserved by the first two digits of the user ID, the group identifier (GR, EQ, WA). As shown, all of the instruments are reserved (EQ) from 8-10 am for maintenance every Thursday. Some of the instruments have WALK-ON time (WA) during the afternoon. No reservation is required.
