7 Terrain Type / Opportunities for Training Typical alpine valley with forest, marshes and open fields. The terrain is situated between 1250m and 1400m. There are Ski Orienteering Maps for similar terrains like Kals am Großglockner and Wipptal valley. 15 Media services The media centre is located at the Biathlon stadium (finish area). Representatives of media are kindly asked to register by 14th February 2016 and also to inform the organizers of their status (TV, radio, writing journalist, photo). The media centre provides media representatives with internet and copy services. For more information please contact adrian.wickert@skio2016.at 16 Doping controls Doping is strictly forbidden, and the organizers of the European Ski Orienteering Championships 2016 are dedicated to supporting the Anti-Doping authorities in their work. Doping controls may be carried out any time during the competition period. For the athletes comfort and convenience, we suggest that athletes are prepared at all events to take along some dry clothes to change into after their race. Doping tests are always carried out in accordance with the procedures described in the WADA International Standard for Testing. The IOF Anti-Doping Rules apply as of 1st January 2015. Athletes who are selected for the doping tests must bring an official identification (with photo) to the doping test area. The athlete should also bring along their therapeutic use exemption (TUE) if applicable. In general, it is advisable that the athletes bring along their ID to all the competitions and events. 17 How to get to Obertilliach By plane: Munich Airport By rail and bus: Sillian railway station, from there bus to Obertilliach. By car: From Munich Kitzbühel Felbertauern Lienz Obertilliach 18 Transport Munich Obertillach Munich Departure Munich Airport Saturday 27 th afternoon. Departure return journey on Sunday 6 th morning 70,00 per Person Deadline for booking February 14 th per mail to adrian.wickert@skio2016.at The transfer will be organized as a collective bus transport for a number of teams. Planning the departure times, we aim to minimize waiting times at the airport as far as possible. Please let us know your flight plan when registering. I case of insufficient demand the collective transfer might be canceled. 19 Waxing facilities Limited possibility for indoor waxing at the accommodation (depending on accommodation). We offer for all teams waxing facilities at competition arena: Full cabin for the whole week 150,00, Shared Cabin (two teams) for the whole week 75,00 per team. 20 Catering at arena We offer for all teams catering at competition arena, lunch with two courses and free soft drinks between 11:00 and 14:30 on every competition day. costs 8,50 /person Deadline for booking February 20 th per mail to adrian.wickert@skio2016.at 21 Leisure time activities Golzentip cable car company offers following proposal: Ascent of the mountain for 9,00 /per person. On the mountain you can go cross country skiing or go sledding down the hill. 22 Opening ceremony Every nation should bring an own Flag to the opening ceremony. 23 Weather conditions Because at the moment there is hardly any snow in the region the organizers are looking for alternative places to host fair races (deadline 14 th February 2016) If it is necessary to cancel the event a decision will be made until the 19 th February 2016.
