st by 3-Year-Olds and Up, fillies and mares, top claiming price $8,000, Five Furlongs Michael Machowsky Back Street Cat & Ebony Cat 1. Back Street Cat -The only member of the cast sporting a lone score and without a victory over the mile track here; suited up opening day while racing for a higher conditioned tag, battled hard from the inside and was no match for the winner while holding for the place; figures to be gunning again from the rail with the 10- pound apprentice. 2. Holdiayincambodia - A winner over this layout last September and then just missed at the winter meet when last seen on the bigger strip; back-to-back scores going 870 over the smaller night oval fresh off the claim in March, then found stakes foes here and Santa Anita rivals too much in the last couple; figures to be right at home with this group. 3. Aiming Straight - Has been doing all her recent work in those 870-yard contests here under the lights and with a pair of snapshots from the last quartet; no stranger to getting the job done over the daytime track and adds even more speed to the equation. 4. Ebony Cat - Has posed for pictures following 2 of her 5 starts on the big track here; posted a sharp coast-to-coast decision in Arcadia two back when allowed a clear lead on some modest splits, then jumped up a few levels for that last one three weeks ago and weakened after battling following an awkward takeoff; red-hot Roman gets the call. 5. Warrensdollarsigns - Left little doubt here on the opening day program as she rallied very wide under new best friend Guce and won going away over a perennial bridesmaid; was getting her first tally in her 10th try over this strip; nearly drawn for another cozy stalking journey and very dangerous right back. 3. Aiming Straight 5. Warrensdollarsigns 4. Ebony Cat 18 5. Warrensdollarsigns 3. Aiming Straight 4. Ebony Cat

nd by 2-Year-olds, fillies, maiden special weight, Five and One-Half Furlongs Mike Pegram None 1. Into Rissa - First of 2 for Harrington and one of 2 in here with experience; a poor start in the debut and then chased home a couple of nice ones in the most recent finishing a little over 3 lengths behind today's rival Cause We Are Loyal; first chance to race over the track where she resides. 2. Shaken Memories - Sire has connected with 44 of 364 debut youngsters, the Holy Bull mare has had all 4 of her previous runners reach the winner's circle, headed by Jamaican Memories (295K); a bullet half-mile move from the gate showing at San Luis Rey Downs last month. 3. Midnight Cute - No need to sing Baffert's praises; his former trainee Midnight Lute has seen 13 of 155 first-time babies get the job done, while mom was unraced and her only to the wars is Mile High Magic (2-for-9, 1122K); the usual crisp local drills showing with Garcia getting the leg up. 4. Cause We Are Loyal - Showed speed in the May 25 unveiling across town, but had the misfortune of hooking a very promising stablemate and an easy return victress that day and had to settle for the show money; Reddam/O'Neill has that valuable experience working for her and Nakatani doing the honor 5. Beyond Ambition - Daughter of the mighty Tapit (58-for-457 with debuting 2-year-olds) fetched a hefty $1.1 million in Florida back in March and appears to have a good local foundation for Hollendorfer; dam won twice from 6 starts for 113K and her only to the races is winless in 9 appearance 6. Happy Maggie - Bookends the field for Harrington; dad has 10 winners from 60 rookies, while the mare was 1-for-16 for 73K in her racing days and this will be her first starter; gets the best of the draw while racing over her home course with some decent drills on her card. 4. Cause We Are Loyal 3. Midnight Cute 5. Beyond Ambition 20 5. Beyond Ambition 4. Cause We Are Loyl 3. Midnight Cute

rd by 3-Year-Olds and Up, California-bred, maiden special weight, Six Furlongs Trickonomics & Watered Down Stewart Elliott 1. Rmanie s Grey Suit - Last seen a couple of months ago going evenly in a mile grass affair at Santa Anita in his 2nd start, with a slow start in his debut; sketchy work pattern showing in the interim and will have to deal with the tricky rail slot. 2. E Bradley Cooper - Has stopped badly in all three appearances at Santa Anita and now tries over the track where he trains; can't endorse. 3. King Darius - The first of 3 new faces; sire is 1-for-41 with beginners and the mare has seen all 8 of her starters get their picture taken, headed by Why Not Us (114K); this is her home track and there are a couple of good moves showing for Nunez. 4. Hardcore Troubador - Sire is 0-for-20 with firsters while mom won 1 of her 2 starts and has had a minor winner from a pair to face the starer; should have a good foundation with a 7-furlong work showing from SLR for his owner/trainer Freeman with Arroyo taking the call; check toteboard and post parade for more clues. 5. Trickonomics - Has been knocking on the door in his last two outings up at Golden Gate; part of a blanket finish two back, then looked to be home free at the furlong pole in the most recent and was run down late while handily holding off the rest; a bullet Pleasanton drill in the holster and Garcia to ration the speed: major danger.. 6. Versante - Rounds out the newbies; Artie Schiller strikes with 10 percent of his beginners, while mom was 2-for-8 on the track and has seen all 4 of her starters in the circle, headed by Sammy Maudlin (136K); picks things up with a nice half-mile spin from the gate in Arcadia last weekend; interesting. 7. Watered Down - If the firsters don't come out firing, it looks like the race is between this Machowsky trainee and invading Trickonomics; a repeat of either of the last two show finishes over at Santa Anita make him tough with this group and he has the advantage of being drawn outside his main rival with Elliott back at the controls. 7. Watered Down 5. Trickonomics 4. HardcoreTroubdr 22 7. Watered Down 5. Trickonomics 4. HardcoreTroubdr

th by 3-Year-Olds and Up, claiming price $8,000, Five Furlongs Agapito Delgadillo None 1. Gracias Tom - Ran here a week ago for a higher pricetag and went evenly behind a runaway victor that afternoon; his maiden-breaker came over the smaller local night layout as a punctual even-money choice in one of those 870-mixed affairs; will need his very best. 2. Badasmywifeletsmeb - He's 1-for-6 over this mile track and 2- for-42 everywhere else; turned in a solid effort under these conditions on the opening-day program, dueling hard from the inside and not giving up without a fight; has half a furlong less to work with now. 3. What We Doing - Two wins from nine starts locally, blanking in 33 outings elsewhere, with the most recent victory over this track being a 21-1 upset last September; been away since the first of the year, when he was thumped by open sellers over a track labelled good at Anita. 4. Big Bad Jon- Returned from a respite on July 4 across town, had brief early interest and then did a steady retreat; dips to lowest level since getting the graduation papers in starts No. 11 at the bottom league in Arcadia; looking to turn things back around. 5. Kenji s Savoir - Been well-beaten since being claimed from top conditioner D'Amato in March off back-to-back decisions; this is the first time he's being offered below the purchase price as he gets the first chance to race over the track he calls home; could dial a wake-up call with this crew under veteran Delgadillo. 6. Awesome Image - Finally put it all together in his 14th attempt when last seen over at Santa Anita in April, cruising home at 13-1 in by far his strong outing to date; Brocklebank is having a solid year and brings this guy back in a very realistic spot with the leading pilot in the irons; respect. 7. Fast Pass - Scratched from a 10K miler on Friday; taken for $5,000 from Meagan Davenport when disappointing as the favorite 20 days ago at Oak Tree/Pleasanton following a string of solid outings; goes for stable seeking first win of 2017 and gelding has done all of his winning on the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate 8. Seatoshiningsea - A voided claim here under the lights in mid- December and didn't return to the wars under three weeks ago, when he turned in a good try going 4.5 panels on the night track; has race under belt now and will likely be part of the speed brigade, needing to dig deep. 6. Awesome Image 3. What We Doing 5. Kenji s Savoir 24 6. Awesome Image 5. Kenji s Savoir 3. What We Doing

th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, fillies & mares, claiming price $6,250, Five & One Half Furlongs Kayla Stra Prophetinparadise & Oleanderpolarbear 1. Royals Roycing - Finished seventh of nine when 29-1 at lower level under the lights 27 days ago. Has one win in 18 starts since the beginning of last year. Tough take care in her current form. 2. Global American - Runner-up behind eventual repeater Evening Again in same race Royals Roycing exits. Threat if able to repeat last despite the bump in price, but an unknown over this track in the afternoon. 3. Smil n From Above - Back in nine days after rallying to complete exacta behind Warrensdollarsigns for this price tag. Late runner will be finishing, but winning has never been her thing She s 0-for-11 in 2017 and 3-for-90 in her career. 4. Slightly - Stablemate of Global American makes first daytime appearance here after finishing third at night for this pricr tag at 870 yards eight days ago. Lone win came when heavily-favored vs. soft maiden field on the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate Fields June 17. 5. Twenty Four Black - Hampered by lack of early speed and was nonthreatening fourth vs. cheaper at night at shorter distance 15 days ago. Could run on for a piece, but a victory would come as a surprise. 6. Oleanderpolarbear - Flees the rail after showing good speed and tiring while finishing four lengths behind Smil n From Above earlier in the meet. New jockey aboard and does have a local win in the afternoon. Dangerous if able to shake loose. 7. Prophetinparadise - Held on to prevail by a nose as the favorite when claimed for $4,000 from Bob Hess, Sr. 12 days ago at Oak Tree/Pleasanton. Has won four of 15 and been 1-2 in over half of her races, so has to be considered in her first at this venue. 8. Love Phone - Stablemate of Prophetinparadise had to settle for third when favored behind Oleanderpolarbea at night a month ago. Ten time winner is more than capable on her best day and does have an afternoon win over this surface. Major player. 8. Love Phone 6. Oleanderpolarbear 3.Smil nfromabove 26 8. Love Phone 3.Smil nfromabove 6. Oleanderpolarbear

th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, allowance/claiming, claiming price $40,000, One Mile Ron Ellis Shortcomings 1. Night s Watch - Gave apprentice her first daytime win in Southern California with a 26-1 surprise against weaker group 20 days ago. Improving sophomore could contend if able to duplicate the performance as he makes his first local start. 2. Shortstormcoming - Raced wide and failed to threaten on turf and hasn t come close in four well-spaced starts since the summer of 2016. Hasn t competed on dirt since finishing fifth of seven at shorter trip in career debut here during the 2015 Los Angeles County Fair meet. Longshot. 3. General Ike - Set quick pace and faded a bit late to finish fiourth of six in stronger field 36 days ago. Should appreciate the softer company and may be primed to end a drought that extends to 2014. Hasn t won since rattling off three in a row as a 3-year-old at Delaware Park when trained by Larry Jones. 4. Elegant Street - Returns to preferred surface after trailing when 47-1 in grass marathon last month. Winless in five appearances in 2017, but may perk up with return to scene of only win. He wired maidens when 30-1 during the 2016 Winter meet. Stablemate of Cowboy. 5. Picture Tube - Pressed issue and faded on turf four weeks ago. Seems better with more patient handling and owns a local score, having won at this trip during the 2016 LACF meet when trained by Ron Ellils. Capable off best. 6. Lucky J Lane - Outlasted $20,000 maidens to break through in his 15th career start in race in which the last quarter of a mile was run in 27 2/5 seconds. Runner-up in local bow at this distance vs. $40,000 maidens during the 2016 LACF meet. Not anticipating a repeat. 7. Cowboy - Sidelined for 51 weeks since finishing third of seven when 20-1 at longer distance on turf. Has some gaps in local work tab preparing for return and was far back in only other try on dirt in his career debut 25 months ago. 8. Uninvited - Needed 14 starts to break his maiden and has suffered two more defeats since tackling winners, most recently checking in fourth of six in race won by stablemate and next out Easy Goer Stakes winner and probable Los Alamitos Derby favorite West Coast. Has been 2-3 in three of four over this surface, so has to be considered underneath. 3. General Ike 1. Night s Watch 8. Uninvited 28 3. General Ike 8. Uninvited 1. Night s Watch

th by 3-Year-Olds, Los Alamitos Derby, One & One Eighth Miles Bob Baffert Kimbear & B Squared 1. Kimbear - Stretches out again after back-to-back runner-up finishes, the latest behind heavily-favored American Pastime five weeks ago. Continues to train sharply in Arcadia, but has not finished better than third in four earlier races beyond seven furlongs. 2. Cistron - Switches to dirt after finishing third in a Grade II on the grass at Penn National 45 days ago. Victorious in lone previous attempt around two turns on dirt, winning the Northern Spur at Oaklawn Park April 15. Pace factor at the very least and worked a strong six furlongs six days ago for trainer that won this event a year ago with Accelerate. 3. Colonist - Failed as the favorite after consecutive wins when last seen 55 days ago. Has won two of three since stretched out and should be positioned just off whatever pace develops. Hall of Fame trainer won the inaugural Los Alamitos Derby with Shared Belief in 2014. Contender as he returns to his own age group.. 4. B Squared - No match for heavily-favored - and Haskell Invitational-bound - Battle of Midway when second in a Grade III three weeks ago. Has been 1-2 in four of five and won around two turns on grass at Golden Gate Fields April 30. Could earn a share. 5. West Coast - No worse than second in five starts for Hall of Fame trainer and seeking third win in a row. Overcame some early trouble to win going away as the favorite in the Easy Goer on the Belmont Stakes undercard five weeks ago. Should relish the added distance and is strictly the one to defeat. Stable won this race in 2015 with Gimme Da Lute. 6. Klimt - Two-time stakes winner - including the Grade I Del Mar Futurity - as a 2-year-old makes first start for new stable and first since finishing eighth of 11 in the Breeders Cup Juvenile more than eight months ago. Three bullet drills in June over this track, but is unproven beyond seven furlongs and this is a tough distance at which to win after a lengthy layoff. Question mark. 7. Milton Freewater - Stablemate of B Squared and Term of Art returns to dirt after finishing 10th of 11 in his turf debut vs. fellow California breds nearly seven weeks ago. Yet to win outside the state bred ranks and seems more comfortable around one turn. Broke his maiden at this track in his debut at much shorter trip during the 2016 Spring meet when trained by Mike Harrington. 8. Term of Art - Finished 4 1/2 lengths behind B Squared when third in field of four last month. Yet to have an exacta finish in six 2017 appearances. Hasn t won since taking the off-the-turf Cecil B. DeMille 7 1/2 months ago. Tough to recommend for the top prize. 5. West Coast 3. Colonist 2. Cistron 30 5. West Coast 3. Colonist 4. B Squared

th by 3-Year-Olds & Up, maidens, claiming price $20,000, One Mile Rossie Higgins Lymebird & Sooner Boomer 1. Gold and Guns - -Adds blinkers and stretches out after failing to threaten when 16-1 in debut a week ago. Goes outside to inside, but would need major improvement at the longer distance to contend. Pass. 2. Lymebyrd - Puts on blinkers and back to two turns after finishing fifth of eight for this price tag 12 days ago in Arcadia. Rolled fours in both races over this track at shorter trip. Reunited with jockey who was aboard for last local effort and has to be considered in this context. 3. Sooner Boomer - Didn t repeat improved try when setting the pace and faltering on turf 27 days ago at Golden Gate Fields. Finished directly behind a next out graduate two races ago in Northern California. Adds blinkers for initial try on dirt. Formerly trained by Meagan Davenport. 4. Pipedreams - Off rail after finishing ninth of 11 in needed race four weeks ago that followed 20 months on the sidelines. Third at this level at this distance in only previous try here during the 2015 LACF meet. Capable of improving with that last race behind him. 5. Parched - Left supporters thirsty when finshing distant third at bit longer distance in race dominated by the betting favorites. Papa Royale, who finished second in that race 22 days ago, returned to win easily over this surface July 8. Contender from close range. 6. Melvinized - Blinkers on for 4-year-old who hasn t been a factor in two starts, the latest three weeks ago after spending 11 months on the bench. Sheds weight with switch to an apprentice, but tough to endorse. 7. El Sundar - Drops in price and tries more yardage after finishing ninth of 11 when 59-1 two weeks ago. May do better routing in second for this stable. Sheds 10 pounds with the jockey switch. 8. Wondering Ways - Wheeled back in seven days after finishing well clear of the rest of the field when second behind Papa Royale for this price tag. Be involved early and seems an exotics threat at the very least. 9. Gato Dolce- Missed by a neck when stretched to this distance six weeks ago. Has burned a lot of money in his career, but the one to fear off his latest and switches to apprentice who won nine races the first four days of the Summer Thoroughbred Festival. 10. Traveling Vista- Completed exacta in two tries in Northern California, the latest behind Kitten s Royal two weeks ago at Oak Tree/Pleasanton. No factor in three races in this part of the state, so siding against. Jockey is the wife of Hall of Famer Kent Desormeaux. 9. Gato Dolce 8. Wondering Ways 5. Parched 9. Gato Dolce 8. Wondering Ways 2. Lymebyrd 32
