Talita and Antonelli are in the midst their second season together on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour. Talita and Antonelli captured 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medals in Shanghai, Seoul, Gstaad and Kristiansand. Talita and Antonelli claimed a bronze medal at the 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway. Despite only 22 events together, Talita and Antonelli rank 16th on the FIVB s all-time earnings list (US$438,450). Talita and Renata Ribeiro placed fourth in the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Talita and Renata won five SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medals, including two in 2005, two in 2007 and one in 2008. Talita was named the SWATCH FIVB World Tour top rookie in 2005. Talita was a bronze medal winner with Maria Clara Salgado at the 2002 SWATCH FIVB Junior World Championships for players under the age of 21 in Catania, Italy. Talita won the 2008 Queen of the Beach title in Brazil. Talita currently ranks 13th all-time in FIVB earnings ($573,450). In four SWATCH FIVB World Tour seasons together, Talita and Renata competed in 59 events together with 13 podium placements, 20 final four appearances, $692,550 in earnings (fourth all-time on the women s team list). The pair posted a 237-105 match mark together. While Talita and Renata were the third-ranked team on the 2008 SWATCH FIVB World Tour, Antonelli and Vanilda Leao ranked fifth with a 59-23 match mark and two podium placements. Antonelli captured a SWATCH FIVB World Tour event in 2008 with Leao at Kristiansand, Norway. Antonelli captured a SWATCH FIVB World Tour silver medal in 2008 with Leao at Marseille, France. Antonelli and Leao won 2007 FIVB Challenger/Satellite events in Spain and Liechtenstein. For 25 FIVB events together, Antonelli and Leao compiled a 95-38 match mark and $157,600 in earnings. Antonelli currently ranks 29th in all-time FIVB earnings (US$302,925). On the 2010 Brazilian Tour for six events, Talita and Antonelli have a 21-5 match mark with a first, two seconds and a third. The Schwaigers are the only Austrian women s or men s team to compete in a SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medal match. Before the World Series 13 gold medal match, the Schwaiger sisters placed second last year in Norway where they dropped the finale in Kristiansand to Maria Antonelli and Talita Antunes of Brazil. The Schwaigers placed fifth at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The Schwaigers earned their first-ever SWATCH FIVB World Tour medal by placing third at the 2008 Kristiansand event after the Beijing competition. The Schwaigers were the third set of sisters to compete together in the Olympic Beach Volleyball competition. Prior to the Olympic fifth, the Schwaigers best FIVB finishes together were sevenths in 2006 at Modena and Warsaw, and 2008 at Stare Jablonki. The Schwaigers rank 17th in career FIVB earnings (US$437,500) to rank first among Austrian women s teams. The Schwaigers are tied for 50th in individual FIVB earnings ($218,750). The Schwaigers have three bronze medal finishes on the European tour in 2007 in Switzerland, 2008 in The Hague and 2009 in Baden, Austria. The Schwaigers were 15-8 on the 2009 European Tour with two thirds in Austria and England. Overall, the Schwaigers have a 43-28 European tour match mark for 16 events. Hansel and Montagnolli were the second Austrian women s team to compete in a SWATCH FIVB World Tour final four when they finished fourth at the 2009 Austrian Grand Slam in Klagenfurt.
