Richard Mitchell, Clk of Hawkins County Court By Edward Scott - His Deputy Taken from Hawkins County Deed Book Number 1, 1788-1800, p. 342, WPA transcription, Mountain Press, Signal Mountain, TN. ---------- It would appear that Isham moved to Madison, KY sometime after the signing of the deed in 1801 Hawkins Co, TN. Isham appears in Madison Co., KY when on 6 Sep. 1804 he marries Action Bunch and he also appears in the Madison tax lists, and in the Clay tax lists after Clay was formed from Madison in 1807. It appears that he moved to KY with members of the Bunch family & Bolin relatives from Hawkins County. Joseph Bowling, whom he is closely associated with, appears to have joined him a few years later, first appearing on the 1807 Tax List and marrying Nancy Bolin, daughter of William. Isham may have also been a son of William's.
