ENGLISCH Rules«ALL YOU CAN WALK IN 24 HOURS» As at : 11.8.2017 1. Date and time of the event The event starts on Friday, August 31 st 2018 at 7.00 pm and ends on Saturday, September 1 st, 2018 at 7 pm. 2. Procedures As from the official beginning of the event, the walkers have 24 hours time to go different routes. For each walker starting after 7 pm, the effectively gone distance to the last validated control, will be credited. The stamping office remains open until 9 pm. Thereafter, no official stamp can be get. During the last hour of the event, a loop of about 2 km will be opened inside «Coque» so allowing the walkers to walk for the time of 24 hours. 3. Arrival On Friday, August 31st 2018, the «Coque» will be available for walkers and their families at 3 pm. Locker rooms are on site. Luggage can also be stored. Near «Coque» are several parking lots, although with limited space. Nevertheless, there are numerous parkings in the neighbourhood. The «Coque» should be entirely cleaned up on Saturday, September 1st 2018 at 10.30 pm. 4. Registration Registration is only possible via www.allyoucanwalk2018.lu. Any registration is validated only after correct payment. When the registration and the payment are done, the participant will receive a confirmation. The pre-registrations via internet will be closed on July 31st 2018. After this date, there is still the possibility to participate in the walk but without ordering or buying a t-shirt. All you can walk t-shirts will be on sale the day of the event.
Besides, it is not possible to order a cup for teams after the closing of registrations. Each registration is personal and definitely and will not be refunded. It is not allowed, for any matter ever, to transfer a registration to another walker. The registrations to the popular walks of 5, 12, 26 and 42 kilometers on Saturday, September 1 st 2018, will be opened at 6 am that day. With his/her registration, the walker agrees that the FLMP may use his/her dates (picture, name, and so on ) in videos or articles, this without any right to compensation. 5. Registration costs 45 for each individual walker; 60 per team of at least 2 and maximum 4 walkers. This price will be increased by 10 starting 1.8.2018 Included in this price are food and drinks all along the loops, the transfer back to «Coque» in case of giving up, the rewards, With his/her registration the walker accepts these rules. An «All you can walk in 24h 2018» t-shirt will be on sale at the price of 10. For the IVV popular walks: 15 for the 42km marathon loop, diploma and patch included; 5 per IVV-walk of 5km, 12km or 26km. Children up to 14 walks for free. 6. Luggage As all the different loops always come back to «Coque», it is possible to deposit the luggage in some defined place there. Each luggage should be marked with the name, address and phone number of the owner, as well as with a «luggage» sign. The organizer is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage. 7. The routes The route consists of 4 loops of +/- 25 km each. Besides, routes of 5km, 12km and 42km are added as IVV popular walks. The different routes can be downloaded on www.allyoucanwalk2018.lu. The distances communicated by the organizer are authentic and can be challenged. 8. Speed Everybody can walk at his/her own pace. It is not a competition. However, it is recommended to walk at least 4.5 km/hour and a maximum of 8 km/hour.
9. Lockers At «Coque» all necessary sanitary facilities are available (showers, restrooms, lockers). The locker rooms however are collective so that every walker should take care that nothing is stolen or lost. The FLMP cannot be hold responsible for any loss, theft or damage to personal articles. 10. Controls The are several controls on each route. The opening and closing times of the controls are adapted to a walking speed of minimum 4.5 and maximum 8 km per hour. The opening and closing times will be announced before the start. 11. Food and drinks The organizer offers appropriated food and drinks. In general, there is some free tea and food at each control (+/- every 7km). Besides, different meals are prepared at Coque after each loop. Furthermore, it is possible to buy food and drinks. Tickets therefore will be sold at Coque. 12. Care At each passing through the «Coque», paramedics will take care of the walkers if necessary. Please note the usual hygiene measures: clean feet, clean clothes 13. Hygiene/Environment Regarding hygiene and environment it is recommended that the walkers bring their own drinking cups. Nevertheless, the FLMP will sell cups on site. Any waste must be disposed in the trashcans all along the routes. 14. Give up Should a walker (must) give up, he/she should call the emergency number of FLMP to be taken back to «Coque» for free.
15. Health Before registration, every walker should request the advice of a doctor and follow these advices. Medical care is offered on the routes and at the arrival. The emergency service can decide if a walker is able to continue or should stop. 16. Nordic Walking Walking sticks of the «Nordic Walking» type are allowed on the track only, not inside the Coque. 17. Security For your security, reflective strips or clothing is an obligation. Furthermore, each walker should wear a headlamp or carry a flashlight. Please follow the advices and orders of the organizer, the police or the voluntary helpers. Besides, please behave in accordance with the street and traffic regulations. 18. Rewards Each walker will receive a personalized diploma indicating exactly which distance was finalized. Teams will get one diploma for all, indicating the exactly walked distance and the names of the team members. Further, teams will get a cup, as far as they have registered before July 31 st, 2018. Each walker, individual or in a team, will be rewarded a commemorative medal and patch. Rewards will only be handed over by delivering of the chips, immediately at arrival. Walkers who participated in the marathon but not in the 24 hours walk will be rewarded a medal, a diploma and a patch. Rewards will not be send by postal mail.
19. Teams Relays of minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants can register for the walk. Each walker will receive a start number. The numbers may not be changed at the different sections. Only one walker can be on the way per loop. Relay is taken over at Coque only. Should a team not follow these instructions and relay-zone, the team will be excluded from the event. 20. IVV Rating booklets The effectively gone distance will be noted in the IVV rating booklets, either for individuals or for teams. 21. Insurance / Liability The organizer is not liable for any accident or harm during the event. With his/her registration, the walker, or team, declares that these rules are fully known and understood. Besides, the walker declares to be physically in good health and to participate in the walk at his/her own risk. 22. Limits Every participant must be at least 16 years of age at the date of the event. 23. Animals Dogs are not allowed inside Coque. A Dog-sitting service is proposed outside, but only during the National Walking Day of Saturday, September 1st 2018. 24. Security inside «Coque» Please strictly obey the security rules inside the building. They are posted in the entrance hall. Security agents are always present. Among others, it is forbidden to carry glass bottles and glasses. The only drinking recipients allowed are those sold on site (this does not apply to walkers bringing their own plastic or metal cups). Further, picnic is not allowed inside the building. 25. Miscellaneous The organizer may modify the routes or cancel parts of or the complete event. In no way can the registration costs or eventual other costs be refunded.
26. Animation There is several free animation scheduled inside «Coque». The proposed visit of Luxembourg-city or the guided tour must be booked and paid in advance. The transfer by bus to the city centre is included in the price. 27. Start Numbers The start number must be clearly visible.
