In case of any disagreement in the interpretation of the regulations and rules, the English version shall prevail. Any Unforeseen cases not covered by the regulations and rules shall be resolved as follows: General issues: Resolved in accordance with the OCA Constitution Technical issues: Resolved in accordance with the relevant measures adopted by the Technical Delegate Any disagreement to the decisions of the Technical Delegate, the appeals shall be conducted in accordance with the appeal procedures stipulated in the relevant regulations. Competition Format Adjudication system 3.0 will be applied. The competition begins in an elimination phase. Depending on the number of couples, a phase can be composed by heats. Each heat has up to 8 couples. In quarter finals and semi-finals couples will perform in groups. In finals, the couples will perform solo. 1
Sport Entries 8.1 Eligibility - Only OCA member NOCs are entitled to send athletes to participate in the DanceSport competition of the 4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games. - Only athletes who comply with the Constitution and Rules of the OCA and its By-laws are entitled to participate in the DanceSport competition. - All DanceSport athletes must be holders of WDSF registration ID number. - Athletes of the following age groups may attend: Youth: reach 16th, 17th and 18th birthday in the calendar year. Adult: reach 19th birthday or more in the calendar year. Senior: over 30 years old. In all age groups one partner of a couple may be younger. 8.2 Entry Timeline Entry by Number Deadline: 17 th June 2017 Entry by Name Deadline: 3 rd August 2017 8.3 Entry Policies Events: Each NOC may enter a maximum of one (1) couple (a man & a woman) for each competition. Each couple may enter a maximum of two (2) competitions. Total: Each NOC may enter in total a maximum of four (4) couples (4 men & 4 women). Each NOC may enter one (1) Head Coach and three (3) Coaches [one (1) for Standard, one (1) for Latin and one (1) for Salsa]. Technical Officials 15 International Technical Officials shall be certified by WDSF and appointed by ADSF. 2 National Technical Officials shall be appointed by Turkmenistan DanceSport Federation and approved by ADSF. Time: 9:00-10:30 Venue: Chef de Mission Hall, Athletes Village Technical Officials meeting: Date: September 24 th, 2017 Time: 11:00-12:00 Venue: TBC Protests and Appeals All complaints and objections evaluation will follow the World DanceSport Competition rules, effective from June 12, 2016. Claims and protests made to the judges on the ground concerning matters of fact are decided by the Technical Committee without appeal. Appeals against other decisions of the judge or with regard to any other matter must be addressed in due time to the Chairman of the Jury of Appeal, by a representative of the Member Organization of the NOC making the appeal. Any claim must be made within 30 minutes of the decision giving rise to the claim. The Jury of Appeal after an investigation shall then give a decision and this decision shall be irrevocable, except for the case of disqualification of a team or of an athlete for infraction of the Rules and Regulations of the Games, which shall be decided by the Court of Appeal. All claims and appeals must be made in writing. Protest will be dealt with in accordance to the ADSF Rules and Regulations. Jury of appeal Jury members shall be appointed by ADSF. Jury Committee will consist of one president and several members. In case of any protest or appeal lodged by NOCs, the jury member from the concerned NOC should not participate in the discussion. Uniforms All DanceSport competitors shall dress or costume according to the WDSF Dress Regulations, effective from June 12, 2016. All DanceSport Technical Officials will be provided with a formal uniform, as follows: 2 dress shirts (length of sleeve TBC) 2 bottoms (trousers or skirt) 1 suit jacket Either Scarf for women or Tie for men 3
Doping Control The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Games will include a full anti-doping program. The anti-doping program will be run in accordance with the WADA International Standard for Testing and Investigation and following the Olympic Council of Asia Anti-Doping Rules. The program will include precompetition and in-competition urine and blood testing. Athletes who wish to use a Prohibited Substance or a Prohibited Method in connection with the event and do not already have a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) should apply to OCA TUE Committee (OCA TUEC) by 01 August 2017. Where the Athlete already has a TUE granted by his or her National Anti-Doping Organization or International Federation, he/she should apply to the OCA TUEC for recognition of that TUE. Medal Ceremonies Medal ceremonies will occur at the end of each competition day, as per OCA Constitution, art.63: Victory and Medals Ceremony. One Gold, one Silver and one Bronze place will be awarded. Fifteen minutes before the victory ceremony starts, the medalists shall be escorted to the waiting area to get ready for the ceremony. Medalists must wear their official NOC uniforms. 4
