Executive Board Report: President: Joe G. beef and beer every team got involved. Vice President: Joe Otto speaking with Town Council about snack bar as well as approval to use the lights. Council members told him should not be a problem for approval as they meet 3 rd Wed. every month. We should have the approval Monday night 10/26. Reminder to all coaches lights can not point at any houses. Snack bar Town Council should be no problem. Good money maker for the club. Treasurer: Mark A. reported 2 teams owe fees to the club. Club made approx. $4200 on the beef and beer. Still waiting for the final tally. Secretary: Lynne Denny nothing to report at this time. Trustee: Tom Taylor we have the lights available from 10/19 12/1. Cost is $675 each light per month. Cost will be roughly $1767. Going forward we may want to look into options for next year.
Kevin Meldrum suggested PSE&G has a loaner program for youths. Matt Meyers asked cost to purchase lights used approx. $1500-$2000 may be options 6. Committee Reports: Director of Training/Coaches: Joe G. spoke on behalf of the Director of Training Mike Otto. Mike will have the training schedule out this weekend 10/24/09. Vermes same time day slot, may be adjusted. A lot of teams on the field at the same time use all parts of the field. Joe Chaccio Keeper training Tues. & Thurs. Coaches please provide the name and email address of your keeper that attends just in case last minute cancellations are necessary. Director of Fundraising: Nicole not in attendance coaches to send her their parent email list Director of Uniforms: Tom Taylor report on the meeting with the people from Select. Joe G, Joe O & Tom meet with them at 8am Sat. morning 10/17. Went over missing items, incorrect items, shipping problems, coach s shirts and missing sweats. Rep said Otto and Long s tops and bottoms will be in by Oct. 30 th. Fitz 5 shirts Problems with bags: email Tom by this weekend with the #. Select was told we want money for our bad experience. Here is what they offered: U8-U10 every child that tryouts will get a small gift. U11-U15 will receive a drawstring bag 2 coaches per team will receive a sweat suit, one polo and one training shirt, shorts and socks. Trying to get rid of the socks and get shirts for all instead.
Plus they gave us $2000.00 off which will be used for advertising in the spring for tryouts. Coaches need to submit the sizes to Tom by Sunday. He will have the samples at his house. They will be ordered Monday. Select promises to have them in by the 1 st week of Nov. Director of Boys Travel: Dave Howarth reported one weekend cancelled all games rescheduled for 12/6. Play offs may be the following week. Last day for make ups is the Wed. before Thanksgiving. Spring registration coming out soon. Director of Girls Travel: Joe Otto Sr. reported girl s cancellation moved to 12/5 and the girls will allow make ups until 12/5. Director of Website: Mike Garland suggested that website be set up for phone and email blasts. Excel spreadsheet would be needed with name, phone # and email address. If a parent doe not want to receive these then leave them off the list. Mike sent and email out with the updated domain www.delranfc.com Fundraiser can be done through the website. PayPal with banking info to accept credit cards, routing and back account # needed. See Mike with any questions. Director of Fields: If you need to schedule a make up and you are having a problem it is possible that Deutsch can be used. You would just need to check. Middle school field needs nets on the 8v8 field. Need coaches help to get Middle School laid out and lined. Coaches need to help. This field holds water well and with all the rain this field can be used if we close Vermes. Looking to get lock box with some of the money raised from the beef and beer.
Director of Snack Bar: Tim Burrell volunteered to be the Director of the Snack Bar. Tim will come up with a schedule. 7. Old Business 8. New Business: Kevin Meldrum asked to bring in a U17 Boys team. The board approved. They will play in the MAPS league. Kevin to attend a MAPS meeting. Walt Klein assignor. Proposal US Club fee affiliation. Matt Meyers suggested friendlies with SJ Elite 3-4 teams in the spring. He will coordinate. Pete Gutowski U10 Red Devils looking to do a friendly tournament over Thanksgiving weekend. Check on fields as the Delran AA may have already gotten permission to use. Mark Albertson stepped up to be the tournament coordinator until someone volunteers. This is needed so that we as a club get the maximum discount when attending the same tournaments. Mike Garland asked if it was okay for Sky Blue Soccer come speak with the club next meeting Nov. 18 th. Permission was approved. Anyone interested in magnets please email Nicole. 9.
