Event Description The mini Rogers Cup is OTA club-based one day team event, leading to regional final playdown at Mayfair Parkway in Markham the weekend of July 16/17. The winning and finalist teams from that regional event will then play the finals at Nathan Philips Square in Toronto on July 20. Recognition for the winning and finalists will take place at the 2016 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank on Wednesday July 27, day session, including tickets, hospitality and a Centre Court demonstration. Team Definition separate girls and boys divisions 2 doubles teams 1 U12 doubles team players U10 can play in this division if required 1 U10 doubles team Eligibility Open to Girls and Boys U12 and U10 - as of Jan. 1, 2016 Players must be a member of an OTA club Players cannot have ever played in a two star or higher OTA tournament Full team rosters including the team captain and all players date of birth must be submitted prior to date of finals day event Players who play at club level event must also play in final event All players advancing to finals day must bring a completed and signed waiver form to the registration desk Each player can only play for 1 team and in one category * date(s) TBD depending on 1 Shoreham entry size Drive, Suite 200
Suggested Rules of Play Club level event* Boys and girls divisions single elimination draw or boxed round robin format dependant on number of entries. (Use box format if there are under five players). In box format teams will play matches against all other players in box can run separate U10 and U12 events if desired. Objective is to produce one winning team, (i.e. one U10 pair and 1 U12 pair) in boys and/or girls divisions that will represent the club at final event. Winning teams (boys and girls divisions) will represent the club at the final tournament. Elimination format: Pro set - 1 st to 8 games no ad, receivers choice sudden death game at 7 all. Boxed Round Robin format: Depending on # of teams per box, play a total of 6 or 8 games against all other teams in box In box round robin format, total games for in all matches will determine final position in case of tie in total games for, head to head will be first tie-breaker, followed by total games against, followed by coin toss * clubs can adapt selection process if desired goal is to name representative team of 2 U10 s and 2 U12 s
Rules of Play Final Tournament Full court - green dot balls Girls and boys divisions 4 players max per team no substitution 1 U10 pair, 1 U12 pair Boxed round robin format in preliminary rounds single elimination draw in final rounds In box format, teams will play matches against all other teams in box Number of teams per box and number of boxes in preliminary rounds will be determined by total entries Box placement will be random draw some seeding may take place Fixture consists of 2 matches one U12 doubles, one U10 doubles combined game totals In box round robin format, total games won by team in all matches will determine final position in case of tie in games for, head to head will be first tie-breaker, followed by total games against, followed by coin toss Team placement in preliminary round will determine seeding for elimination rounds Elimination Round - Pro set - 1 st to 8 games no ad, receivers choice sudden death game at 7 all. In elimination event, winner will be determined by round based play same tie breaker rules.

WAIVER The undersigned acknowledges and agrees to assume all risk for bodily injury, waive all claims for injury and property damage and release and hold harmless Tennis Canada, the Ontario Tennis Association, the ICTA, its management and partners, the participating players and volunteers from any liability for personal injury and property loss or damage whether occurring prior to, during or subsequent to the mini Rogers Cup finals event(s), and consents and grants permission to, Tennis Canada, the, the organizers of this tournament or its or their respective officers, agents, representatives, and/or assigns to use (without, for greater certainty, any further consent or fee being required) any photography, videotape or other electronic recording device of my image taken, filmed or recorded during, or in connection with, my participation in this event, for any promotional, news or other purpose.
