KAV Kav acts as the Tennis Coordinator and Head Tennis Coach. He has 15 years of experience in tennis both as a player and coach. He played high level junior tennis in Victorian and local competition before playing competitive tennis on the United States College Circuit for Montana State University Billings for 4 years. After playing college tennis and completing a degree in management; Kav served as the assistant tennis coach and taught physical education courses at the university. Kav has completed the Junior Development course with Tennis Australia.
JAMES James Howard started playing tennis relatively late compared to today s standard, at the age of 14 years old. Before his tennis career he played junior state level basketball for the Melbourne Tigers. During his tennis days he played at Tullamarine Tennis Club in the A grade junior team and still competes today. He won the 2014 Club Championships. James energy and enthusiasm for seeing children improve their skills whilst having fun is a great learning environment. He really enjoys using the red, orange and green balls to advance our students through the competencies. James has completed the Junior Development course at Tennis Australia.
BRAD Brad has been playing tennis since the age of 3 and played section 1 in local junior tennis. He is an energetic, passionate tennis coach that has worked with kids of all ages, emphasizing team work and the enjoyment of the game. He loves sports and has worked in many school sports settings ranging from tennis and swimming, to lacrosse and soccer. Brad s goal is to help kids build friendships on the court and learn life lessons as he believes tennis is a conduit for many things that life brings to us. Brad is currently studying Sports Management, whilst competing in tennis competitions.
BEN Ben has a great amount of coaching experience; he has coached since the age of 16. A promising junior player in the Essendon area, he played high level (A grade) junior competition. Ben takes an individual coaching approach even in group lessons. He is extremely observant about every player he coaches and is able to help a player get to the next level. One of the main reasons Ben coaches is because he enjoys passing his knowledge and skills of tennis on to his students. Ben has completed the Junior Development course at Tennis Australia.
JOHN John s love for tennis started when he joined the grade 6 Bat Tennis team in Primary School and he then took interest in learning how to play real tennis a year after at Epping Tennis Club. John started to play Junior Competition with Epping through NEJTA in Section 27 which was the lowest section at the time, eventually making his way up through the ranks to Section 2 and was the number 1 player for the team. In 2014 John attended SEDA in partnership with Tennis Victoria to pursue a career in Tennis and during his 2 years, worked with community groups and conducted ANZ Tennis Hotshots clinics for primary school students and kids with disabilities. John s favourite Professional Tennis Player is Rafael Nadal for his speed, topspin and will power!
BRIANNA Brianna is an easy going, fun filled tennis coach that loves working with kids and improving their sporting performance and athletic development. She loves her sports and has competed at a respectable level in AFL, Basketball and Karate. Brianna s goals are to make the lessons fun and engaging for the kids but at the same time, develop and maximise their potential. Brianna is currently studying Exercise and Sport Science. During her junior tennis career, she played Section A in local competition and impressively was champion in 3 consecutive seasons.
JARRAD Jarrad brings great energy and enthusiasm into every lesson that his teaches. Jarrad has been coaching tennis for 2 years and with an extensive background in sport he understands the various ways to bring the best out of his students. He is brilliant with kids and very passionate to his players and creates a fun environment for them to enjoy and excel on the tennis court.
