When filling building materials, minerals, chemical products as well as food and feeding stuff, the ROTOSEAL System developed by HAVER & BOECKER will surely convince you when it comes to operation and economics. The particularly clean filling and exact weighing with a filling capacity of up to 3000 bags/hr. are the remarkable characteristics of this system s continuous development. The especially remarkable features are: Smooth handling of filled bags in upright position exact feeding complete seal between the bag valve and the filling pipe during filling exact positioning of the filled bag before closing off optimally designed bag opening with minimum possible valve extension ultrasonic bag sealing before discharge of the filled bag (for the highest possible sealing rate) cost savings from reduced plant operating costs, reduced filter system sizes, minimized energy consumption, improved work conditions and longer lifetimes of downstream equipment For discharging clean bundles, the ROTOSEAL PACKER requires no downstream bag cleaning systems or dust removal devices. HAVER ultrasonic bag closing system on the filling spout The optimized bag closing system using the HAVER ultrasonic process prevents unwanted material leakage from the bag valve, assures cleanly filled bags and subsequently improves storage and handling of filled bags. After filling, the valve bag is moved away in the standing position. The ultrasonic closing head then pneumatically swivels downward and welds the plastic or plastic coated paper valve shut. HAVER UNISEAL A Stationary Bag Closing Unit for ROTO-PACKERS The HAVER UNISEAL closing system is an alternative valve closing device and lends itself to applications where existing ROTO-PACKERS cannot be converted to the ROTOSEAL system or where the individual application conditions and requirements allow the system to be used. For closing valve bags with a short external valve with sealable inner coating (e. g. PE) according to the ultrasonic sealing system. System details and functional sequence: As with the ROTOSEAL, the bag valve is sealed by ultrasound before discharging the filled bag. A stationary ultrasonic sealing device is located closely upstream from the bag discharge belt, i. e. in the area where the bag filling process on the ROTO- PACKER is usually finished. The drive ensures automatic adaptation to the ROTO-PACKER speed. Before reaching the closing position, the filled bag is gently pushed off the filling tube in an upright standing position so that it is exactly aligned on the tipping saddle for closing. The sealing process is carried out continuously in conjunction with the revolving ROTO-PACKER. The external valve is mechanically positioned for the optimal seal. Afterwards the clean and sealed bag is discharged onto the transport belt. The stationary HAVER UNISEAL closing system 10

The bag valve of the UNISEAL is also hermetically sealed during the filling process by inflatable filling tubes to ensure absolute cleanliness and optimal sealing result by avoiding accumulation of product within the valve area. Different bag lengths are automatically adjusted at the ROTO- PACKER. Useable for HAVER ROTO- PACKERS with 3 to 12 filling spouts. An output of up to 3,000 bags/hour is achieved. HAVER Weigher Electronics MEC III MEC III control terminal The MEC III results from the continuous development of the 6th generation of HAVER electronic weighers. The MEC III and OIML is a PTB approved electronic measurement device that can be calibrated and has a resolution of 6000 increments. This terminal has a contrast graphic display for showing all operational situations such as: weight values weigher settings dialogs status information error messages The simple and well-structured operational sequences are done through menus or via function keys. For the appropriate setting of the ROTOSEAL PACKER, there are aids for analyzing the filling process with respect to the filling time and the mass flow rate. HAVER valve bag applicator systems The ROTOSEAL System can be automated simply and comfortably by using the time tested HAVER RADIMAT bag applicator technology. The application speed is automatically adjusted to the speeds of the bag filling and bag closing systems without special operator interference. A servo-driven applicator unit ensures reliable and exact bag placement over the long term. Bundle system: For frequent changes of bag sorts, a bundle system with direct feeding from a horizontal empty bag bundle magazine is the best choice. HAVER RADIMAT bundle system Reel magazine: For high speed systems, the advantages of a reel magazine in simple or double version come into play. A significant time-saving factor can be achieved by using a bag reel magazine instead of a bundle magazine, especially for production outputs > 2000 bags/hr. HAVER RADIMAT reel system 13
